Huh? I thought thats what the rock n serve were for. I was told they were for freezing or refrigerating leftovers and then easy microwaving (which is what we use them for)... Yep just double checked the catalogue... is that what you meant?

    They work great for us

yep rock n serves are designed for freezing and reheating. Thats why the phased out the freezer smarts. But someone said they were coming back?

Yeah, i was told they were for 'straight from the freezer, to the microwave, to the table'.

As for the chinese containers, i've re-used mine over and over and over with no problems.

Hmmmm... I've cleaned out my purse (needed doing!!) and can't find the receipt. I think it was about $4 for a bigger container (about 1L) and maybe $5 for 2 of the smaller ones. Sorry I can't be more specific than that.

ok great! i guess they would be a bit better quality than the reject shop ones.

I bought a pack of 3 1L containers from Coles a few weeks ago for $3 and they are fantastic!! they dont sell them anymore though

Someone suggested lining the container with a plastic bag, and putting the stuff into the plastic bag. When frozen, slip the bag out of the container - this will save room in the freezer. I've done this for a few soups etc.

Caro - are you reheating in the microwave or oven?

As a tupperware "lady" just thought I would confirm that the Rock 'N Serves are definitely for use in the freezer, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. And as someone who loves to use my dishwaster, they always come up super dry when the cycle is finished, so I never have to worry about shaking any water off and re-drying when I unpack the dishwasher.

Dan - i always make up spare servings of curries and pasta dishes, as they are quick and easy to make and always fill my DH up.

Thanks for the heads up Belinda...

Speaking of Tupperware can you tell my how long colours last for? The new rock n' serves are a hideous reddy orange colour and I really want some new ones but can't bare the idea of having that colour in my cupboards LOL!

Sorry OT but its been bugging me and I'm about to go to 2 parties in the next few months LOL!

Hi Cailin - The new colour "hot pepper" will be in for the next 5mths at least (as that is how long the current catalogue will last), and maybe longer. Depends on what the customers really think, but I'm finding ppl either really love it or really hate it. We are callling it our "winter warmer colour" - but I would say the blue colour probably won't be back.

For hosts this month they do have an extra colour choice on rock 'n serves - and can get the black colour (with a clear base) (which practically everyone loves). At least you'll always find the "hot pepper" without looking too hard

Danni - If you are thinking of getting the kids "all day pack" (baby feeding set) they have a promo for April which includes another 3 snack cups. Just thought I would mention it because I've set two aside for myself (well I'm not going to use the sipper cup, but you know what I mean lol).
