Sakata have released a new improved flavour with some of their rice crackers, as a result the seaweed ones now have MSG and other additives. Just thought those of you who are concerned about additives may like to know this. I was shocked when I checked out the ingredient listing.
Anyway there is some good news. I called to complain and apparently I was not the first one to call. They will be going back to the drawing board as such to fix up the ingredients. I pointed out to them that many parents were becoming increasingly concerned with unnecessary additives and they are taking those concerns on board. So a big woo hoo that companies are actually listening to consumers. They should have done more research though before messed with the flavour.
hey thanks for the heads up hun, we eat a lot of the seaweed rice crackers, and my eldest son who is almost 6, cant have any perservatives/additives as they ' lets say make him go crazy", lol.
I appreciate telling me this!! I've had to order online for this week coming up as I wasn't sure if I would have a car or not, and M is very into the seaweed rice crackers.... I think I will go for plain.
Thanks so much for posting this! Rice crackers are my staple at the moment (m/s) and I am really really sensitive to MSG. And good on you for calling them. Make them work for your custom!
