So for DS's 4th birthday we are holding it at a place where we will be unable to heat up the food. I am taking down some cooked saveloys in some thermos flasks and then thought about sausage rolls, could I cook them, put them straight in the fridge then take them in a cooler bag and serve them. Would there be any food hygiene/poisoning issues with this? Would all the kids say 'yuck these are cold' or is it an ok idea?
Really depends on who you are serving. Some kids love cold others not so much. As long as they are fridged and kept cold there shouldn't be any risks there. It's more the popularity of them. Home made are generally liked in our group of friends but everyone would turn their nose up at cold shop bought ones. Very different flavours.
