Really depends on who you are serving. Some kids love cold others not so much. As long as they are fridged and kept cold there shouldn't be any risks there. It's more the popularity of them. Home made are generally liked in our group of friends but everyone would turn their nose up at cold shop bought ones. Very different flavours.

I like them cold, but definitely have to be homemade. Just keep them small, and very cold.
