    Smoothie recipes please!

Hello, over the last day or so I've developed a real hankering for smoothies. However I've never had much luck in the past making them (I usually blend a banana with some yoghurt and milk but it never really seems to turn out very yummy). So I'm keen for any tried and true smoothy recipes (with correct quantities please)!

    1 mango
    1 average sized banana
    handful blueberries
    1/2 cup orange juice
optional linseeds/flaxseeds or LSA mix - dessert spoon or less.

    Blend. this is nice.

WRT banana smoothies, a lot depends on how ripe the banana is.

    I usually use

1 very ripe banana (not quite at balck "banana cake" banana stage though)
approx 1 cup milk (I don't measure it, just a bit less than the size of your glass)
yoghurt or ice cream or sorbet
    big teaspoon honey.

    Mango Smoothie Recipe
1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted & chopped (approx 1-1/4 cups)
    3/4 cup skim milk
    1/4 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
    3/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
    3 ice cubes
    Pinch of salt
    Fresh mint sprigs

Combine all ingredients except mint in blender. Blend well until smooth and creamy.

    Orange Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
    1/2 cup orange juice
    1/4 cup pineapple juice
    1/2 banana, peeled and chopped
1/4 teaspoons ginger root, peeled & grated (I use only a tiny dash of crushed ginger)
    2 ice cubes

Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.

    Kiwi strawberry Smoothie Recipe
    3 peeled kiwi
    1 cup frozen banana slices
    3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup frozen strawberries (I use fresh and a few ice cubes)

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend until smoothie consistency is reached!

    Strawberry Smoothie
    1 tub strawberry yogurt
1 cup fresh strawberries, cut up
    1 cup chopped ice cubes

Put the strawberries in the blender and mix on second speed into a liquid. Add the yogurt and blend until mixed thoroughly. Add the ice a little at a time until it’s completely mixed. Enjoy and how could you not. (you can substitute flavours of yoghurt & fruits for this one)

Use rayray's banana smoothie recipe, omit the yogurt and throw in a couple of tablespoons of Milo. I love that.

Thanks everyone, this is plenty to get me started! I sent DH out for bananas and mango and frozen berries so I'll be cracking along nicely in smoothie land this week!
