Question Someone is cooking you whatever you want for dinner... so what do you want?

Shel asked what I want for Valentines Day. Nothing, I said, and I do actually mean that because theres nothing really I want (ah, I lie, I want a few things but nothing 'valentines day' worthy). Oh, hang on, I don't want to cook.

So she said ok, I'll cook. Whatever you want.

YAHOO I think, except I've got no idea what I want

No, really, I can't think of anything. At all. I'm thinking of things *I* would cook, but only because they are easy, not because I necessarily like them.

I'll admit it, my repitoire is fairly boring. Mostly because by 5pm I've been up for 12 hours and I generally don't give a toss what I cook as long as it involves as little time in the kitchen as possible.

But Shel cooks so rarely that I want it to be good, something I probably wouldn't cook, only I don't want to have to help I'll end up helping anyway, but I don't want to HAVE to. LOL, make sense?

So... someone is cooking you whatever you want for dinner... what do you want? What do you ask for?

My DH does an awesome Steak Diane where he gets the alcohol flaming and it is soooo delicious. He doubles the amount of sauce so I can have it all over my vegies, and then he washes up after as well...
Part of someone cooking for you is that they also do the clean up afterwards... nothing worse than having DH cook to help me out, but then me having to do the dishes after.

Some really nice dips and pate and cheese to start.
DH's risotto with prawns drizzled with mascarpone cheese.
Don't really eat dessert but I had a really nice Baileys Irish Cream muffin the other day. Had the gooey stuff in the middle. Was pretty yum.

Bit fascinated with Beef Wellington (beef wrapped in pastry) though and keep meaning to give that whirl.

After much deliberation (lol, since its a pretty big decision ) I *think* I'm going with either bacon and cheese chicken (chicken breast, wrapped in swiss cheese and bacon) OR lemon-pepper-garlic baked fish, with roasted vege. (I'm thinking the fish cos I was gonna make the chicken next week anyway lol).

Not sure about dessert, but I might take care of that myself lol

I would have brushetta to start
then for main, veal cutlet with creamy mustard sauce
for dessert it would be apple pie (hot) with vanilla ice cream
My dh cant cook, so this would NEVER happen to me lol! (unless we ate out)
    Enjoy your valentines dinner
