Hey Ladies,
Just thought i'd share my latest pearl of wisdom with you all I've been trying for ages and ages to get rice perfect. After many MANY failed attempts I've finally got it. And everyone now raves about how my rice tastes just like it should. Even my mother in-law has thrown out her expensive rice cooker to use this method. so here goes.

PLEASE NOTE I USE JASMINE RICE
THIS RECIPE DOES ME & DP PLUS 2 LOTS OF SMOKO LEFT OVER FOR THE NEXT DAY



1 1/2 cups of rice
2 cups of water

Place the lid on the pot and let it come to boil. The minute it comes to boil turn right down on the lowest possible setting you have. In about 5-10 minutes you should notice that there isn't any water maybe a bit of bubbles but not water iykwim. Take it off the stove and let it sit for a few minutes and there you have perfect rice! I realise that this is the absorption method. But i've noticed on the back of the rice packet their measurements are slightly different and it doesnt work out as well. ENJOY
