What are your favourites to make and freeze? I'm going to so some soups and lasagne but looking for other ideas also.
How long can you freeze things for without them going bad?
DH and i are going away for 8 days at the end of this month and mum is having both boys by herself so i want to cook and freeze a heap off kid friendly meals to help her out but i need ideas
I make -
Beef casserole / stew in the slow cooker using stweing steak or braising steak with carrots, onion and gravy with maris piper mash n brocolli and cauliflower.
Curry
Spag bol/chilli
I myself could do with help im meant to follow a high fat low fibre diet and am always looking for recipes.
Cooked stuff can keep in the freezer for about 3-4 months. I did a heap of curries, mexican mince, spag bol, beef stew and cooked sausages (for the kids mainly). I don't think I really had to cook a meal for about 10 weeks, between leftovers, a meal roster from church, takeaway and easy oven bake fish and chips. Made life so much easier with a new bub!
