Ok, so last night dp and I were up all night making rogan josh lamb curry to have in the slow cooker to take to my neices tonight.
we thought it tasted a bit too clovey last night, then I realised that dp had misread the ingredients and instead of 1/2 a tbsp he put 1 and a half tablespoons in!
its just waaaay to overpowering.
we divided it in half and added more tomatoes and water, but this morning it is just still far too spicy.
dp is for chucking and starting again, but its just such a waste! anyone got any idea on how to reduce the clovey taste or what to do with it?
I was thinking of just saving the lamb from it...I dont know?? please help!
I would take the lamb out of it, save it, and start again. (taste the lamb and make sure it isnt affected either....rinse it under the tap quickly and taste it without the sauce)
There really is no way to remove a spice, especially cloves, with any more success than you have had by dividing it and diluting it.
If we did this in the restaurant my Chef would kick our arses and it would go in the bin lol
Sorry
