Too much baking soda...
Oops... I made carrot cake last night for mothers group today and just realised I put in 1.5 tablespoons of baking soda instead of 1.5 teaspoons!!!! Does anyone know if this changes the taste? I also did the same with the cinammon!Lesson learnt - no baking when more sleep deprived than normal!

Yes, it will taste really salty with too much baking soda.
I am always really scared when I have to add baking soda for that reason.

Ok, I thought I'd come back and let you know it made no difference (other than the size). I even asked the Mum's and they said they couldn't tell - some even when back for seconds!
