We love our Baby Q. We had a big four-burner BBQ years ago that we ended getting rid of because it was slow and messy to use. We bought the Baby Q because we figured it was little and potrable for the odd occasion we might BBQ - but then discovered it was so good and quick as a BBQ we wish we'd got the bigger version! It IS pretty small - my one annoyance is that I find I have to cook in batches for big groups, especially if I am using the hot plate because it is even smaller. If I had the money I would consider getting the Family Q.
Schmickers - there is only three of us. Is the little one big enough? I can't see us cooking for more than that on it.
Miss E - DH was unsure about the camper, loved going in a tent, but now he says he wouldn't have it any other way. We were going to hire one for him to see, but then this one came on the market dirt cheap so we got it.
I got DH his weber q for christmas last year and it is by far his most used present EVER! we use it at least once a week and most nights in summer, we take it down the beach and camping. We cook pizzas(the best pizzas) and I have just started making cakes in it tooI made some awesome coconut cupcakes in it last week.
Nothing beats the look on peoples faces walking past our campsites smelling our roasts cookingjealous much

We just bought the small breakfast plate for ours as its big enough to do a few eggs and onions everything else goes straight on and instead of getting the proper weber trivit we just use a cooling rack.
PacRakMG,
WE have ordered a Jayco Hawk. We looked at 2nd hand ones and anything less than 4years old was only a couple of thousand less than new, so we bit the bullet and went new.
We are driving down to melbourne at xmas to pick it up.
We think that the baby Q is the way to go as it is not so heavy to lug in and out of the van and there are only 3 of us too, so we figure it will be plenty
So exciting, lol I have a whole glory box going for the new van. The BBQ is just the tip of the iceberg
P05 - awesome. I'm hoping we get stacks of use out of it.
Livinthedream - that's so exciting! Our original plan was when we sold our house we'd buy a new Hawk but then this camper popped up for $1500. DH did some work for them so the cost dropped to $1000 in exchange for the work. We've done five trips in it since our first one in Feb. Come over to the Camping Thread![]()
