    Looks like i've been outvoted..

Maybe i have the wrong choice in apples? I'm pretty set in my ways, but i think i might head off down the street and get a variety to sample..

Pink Ladies are winning, so i'ld better get some of those. DH reckons i'ld like Jonathans, but mum says they are only good for like 3 weeks around March time. I'm another one who likes to eat fruit that is truely in season... I miss the excitment i used to feel around the end of year, when all the beautiful fruit came out and i would eat so much! Now it tastes yuck most of the time, and there is nothing to hold out for (except decent prices!)

Apples have been my craving in the last 10 weeks...I eat up to 3 a day...just eaten my 2nd and could easily eat another one!!! Initially I craved granny smiths then more recently it's been pink ladies...

I think it's the tartness that I'm really enjoying!

    But I agree...nothing worse than a powdery apple...horrible!

i tend to buy pink ladies when i'm buying, but we also grow grannie smiths at home so i eat a lot of them at home - i find that the home grown apples just taste so much yummier cos they haven't been in storage.

we're looking at what other apple trees to chuck in too - we have two granny smiths, so looking at red apples that will grow well cross polinating with them. yummo!

I love granny smiths. I love a lovely cold crisp apple with a bit of tang.
DH likes Golden delicious or any other sweet apple. So, we have to buy two different types whenever we go shopping.

I like Pink Lady and Gala the best.
I have a Jonathon on order but only to pollinate my Pinkabelle.

I forgot to say that for cookingf I prefer Granny Smith because it seems to keep its shape better and isn't so quick to turn into mush.

I get my apples from growers at the markets & I get whatever is in season, some weeks there will be stalls and stalls of Pink Lady's so I get them. I found one grower who comes from Stanthorpe & I love his apples, so I get whatever he has

Here here Lucy! (eating the ones IN SEASON) I couldn't agree more! I prefer to eat red apples raw and only cook with Granny Smiths. Oh and if I had to choose i guess i'd choose a Pink lady.
