Sunday mornings we have pancakes or piklets. Most other mornings it's ceral or toast. Occasionally we'll have bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans & toast
oh yum, we used to have ricebubbles with tin peaches & cream...Yep my Dad showed me that one too.
I love my Muesli, that's what I've just had this morning followed by a Chocolate biscuit LOL!! I alternate between that porridege, raisin toast or my fav (but not good for you) Banana Bread. On weekends we like to have pancakes or bacon & egg muffins.
Usually weetbix with 'stuff' on top ... sultanas, peaches, bananas or just golden syrup.
Sometimes porridge.
Sometimes toasted fruit bread.
Sometimes bacon and eggs.
Sometimes pancakes or pikelets.
Always coffee - although at the moment, decaf![]()
I normally have several coffee's and rice bubbles with milk.
Boring old weet-bix here. Occasionally we'll have pancakes but not often. Some of the idea's in this thread sound yum as though, have to give em a try![]()
Two eggs scrabled with salt and pepper for me. Or a protein shake. I am a low carb or at least a low GI fan.
It depends. Things we have for breakfast:
Toast
Cereal
Bircher Meusli
Porridge
Scrambled Eggs w/Bacon or Salmon
Contenental Egg Sandwich
Toad in the Hole
Baked Eggs
Pancakes (Could be blueberry/plain etc)
Toasted Banana Bread (or any other cake bread)
French Toast
Egg & Bacon Burrito w/cheese, salsa & jalapenos
Home Made maccy d's breakfast
Hot fresh Muffins (coconut, raspberry & white choc or peach, almond, coconut and cinnamon etc)
Chocolate Croissants
Home made danishes
French Toast sandwich filled with chocolate
I'm sure there's heaps more but you get the idea![]()
Oh thought i better add Rouge that I am moving in. this weekend.
hmm here we are pretty boring:
weetbix with a mixer (like nutrigrain or honeyweets);
raisin toast;
pancakes on Saturday;
eggs on Sunday (or we eat out)
porridge
and we generally have cut up fruit with all of this (apples, oranges and pears).
and the staple tea and coffee (and soy milk for DD!)
oh so boring! must make french toast again. pity that i am the only one in this house that likes it lol!
i have museli and yoghurt every single morning. Have so for the past 6 years! (OMG) except occassionly on a sunday we'll have avocado on toast with a runny poached egg (yummo, no butter lots of avo). I like a specific brand (strawberry and dried yoghurt) museli and nestle vanilla diet yoghurt, nothing else will pass my lips.
I find that or porridge are the only foods that satisfy me at breakfast and keep my happy til lunch... and i ate 10 tonnes each morning while preg
but i am loving the sound of that cream, cereal and fruit... too naughty! full cream gourmet yoghurt is also very very moorish if you feel ike being naughty![]()
Rouge I want to come and live at your house! lol
Lots of pancakes on here, perhaps I should make one day on the weekend a special breakfast day with either toast, avo ,tom, mushrooms etc or pancakes or yum fruit toast with banana on top or just something yum
Ruth I am a big fan getting lots of protein at breakfast too, it's so much more satisfying and gets me through to lunch with only a small snack at morning tea. I really need to make an effort to have that whey powder smoothie every day. I love eggs but have an intolerance to them so need to eat in moderation.
Erin YAY another one who had their dad show them the same thing![]()
I always have one of these.
Avocado on toast topped with lemon myrtle and toasted sesame seeds
Porridge with stewed fruit
Sultana Bran (self-made, it's cheaper and better and I know where the ingredients come from)
Baked beans
Totday it was porridge with cinnamon stewed apple. Needed a boost so also had some marmalade toast. Yum![]()
raupe it's the woolies brand called arnold's farm and i have a tgerrible addiction! lol.
i'm from an avo growing area - don't pay either get them off the tree or off friendsSPOILT! it was ssssooo hard when we moved to nsw and i had to , (gasp, shock, horror), pay! but def on toast with runny poached eggs and pepper yummo.
Just lately I have discovered the Qld yoghurt co yoghurt it is soooo delicious- anyway its; 5% fat, so not too bad really and I;ve been having it with sliced bananas orpeaches each day. And it really fills me up, I have not been looking for a mid morning snack at all.
I got a dwarf avo tree last year and apparently around December this year I 'should' get some avos on itI looovoe them so can't wait! The dwarf tree should only grow to 2.5-3mtrs which is perfect for our town block. They are supposed to be pretty easy to kill so I'm totally stoked that mine is thriving (touch wood). Next to the avo tree is my other fav MANGO! Lordy lord I hope that one keeps growing like a champion too so I have an endless supply of both <insert drool icon here>
ausgirl... Cherished stands up... "my name is cherished and I'm a Qld Yoghurt Co addict"for months and months I couldn't go past the rhubarb one, then it was mango, than passionfruit THEN my MIL told me about the lemon myrtle and macadamia nut OMG YUMMMM then I got the apple and cinnamon and now I can never decide which one to buy! There is always on in the fridge though and it's been my early morning snack during pregnancy when I get up in the night.
