We have been buying them, but they have been very much a treat and never wasted. So wonderful to see that they are now "affordable".

While the prices where high it wasn't uncommon to see people halve the amount they were buying at the checkout after finding out how much the bunch was going to cost!

we have kept buying them my boys aren't huge fruit eaters so probably 3-4 every fortnight as a firend once said take in mind how much you spend on take out coffees... or soft drink...never ending snacks but everyone complain about the price of bananas, having seen first hand the devastation from yasi I have no hesitation buying banansa

    Hi Onyx,
I love bananas and have them in my daily meals as they have many health benefits.
Bananas are energy booster and boost brain power. Bananas are used to cure constipation and anemia.
    And apple is thin

On a serious note they are back down in price ranging from $2.99 - $5 a kg here

Bannans have gone from $14 per kg down to $2.98 a kg so now a kg (approx 5 bannannas) is now much cheaper again.

We have continued to buy them as both kids like them and not much else!

Banana muffins are back on the menu here. My recipe takes 3 large ones and now I can buy enough for them to get soft enough to use.

We never stopped. It's the only fruit DD will eat. But was very pleased to see that they'd dropped to $2.98 yesterday at Woolies. DH and I ate one each last night! Felt pretty special!
