I'm looking for replies from people who have a booster seat for an older child or who have looked into them.

We have bought a new car and transferring car seats from my mazda to the new 4wd is a pita (a third world problem, I know).

DS is 6, but small. He is currently in a safe and sound maxi rider. I don't really want to buy another one of these (although I am very happy with it) because it won't last until he's 10 (or whatever the age will be by then!). And they offer features that I don't need like the harness, ITMS.

It seems there are no isofix ones on the market as they are not legal for boosters yet. It seems with a booster you don't need a tether strap, but given a choice I think I would use one.

Do you have a booster seat? What should I know or look out for? Space is not really an issue, I've given up on having a third child!!
