    2 of my aunts got their period at 8. One of my aunts was overweight for her age, the other wasn't at all. We have a history in my family of getting periods rather early, but 12 seems to be the average age for us.

    I would definitely have a talk to your DD and definitely take her to the Dr. Does your DD know what a period is? If so, would she have come to you and told you? I had to educate my older DD early on as there was a chance she could have got AF early.

    Without any other signs of hormonal changes in her body I would very much doubt it would be AF. I would go down the UTI track with her first, so as not to get her worried and take her to the drs for a full health check.
