does your 6-7 year old use a booster seat?

It seems to me some of the kids at ds school have boosters seats in the cars and others dont.
Do you use one for your child?
Is it a legal thing to use them or not?

Sam doesn't because he is too big for one. But there is now a law that if they "can" go in one, then they have to.

My 5 year old daughter is to tall!! and with the laws changing and saftey reasons i was a little worried so ive done some investigating and a harness bolted in is ok and legal for this age. I also discovered that when there eyes are level with the top of carseat or booster they are no longer safe to use.

DD1, 7, doesn't use one. She's very tall. I do have a half seat one we use for DD2, 4, on long trips. Both of them are too tall for a full booster seat.

My 6yo DS doesn't have one - he is tall for his age and is too big for one now.
