    I should be shocked a child spoke like that but Ds1 has a kid at school who speaks to him like that as well or did last year. He was called a Faggot and a F*in C and other words as well. I ended up pulling that child up outside the school grounds when he said something to my son on the way to school.

    I hope the mother talks ot her Daughter about the language

    Sounds pretty normal for an uncouth, rough around the edges 9yo with no manners. I wouldn't let my offspring associate with her for a while after that. Not forever, they have amazing forgiveness capacity at that age.

    My 9yo manages to be rude and offensive without swearing (she doesn't swear), just because she is low on empathy and has no tact at all, and you have to give her a pretty serious talk to get it through to her that, well, your best friend is crying because of something YOU said that wasn't nice, generally with a protracted argument as to why it wasn't nice.

    Ah, tweenagers. I hear they get worse as they get older too *grin*

    The mother was very shocked her daughter spoke like that, she said she would talk to her and make her appologize to DD.
