Thanks girls, he's not in pain this morning, his lip is still swollen, there is bruising on the gum where the roots are. I just hope the dentist can save the tooth as it is at the front.

    Regards,

is the tooth its self going grey? that bruise sounds like the roots have gone grey (died) they can save it, but if it has died it will mean a root canal

    oh Dianne,
Your poor son. I have been having toothaches and man they are one of the most painful things i have experienced!!! and they give you side effects such as headaches and lack of appetite.

Hopefully they can save your tooth but there is always tooth veneers if worse comes to worse.

Best wishes to your son today!

Awww, the poor thing. I don't think there is anything worse than tooth pain!

The tooth itself isn't grey, he also says the tooth feels wobbly.

The dentist thinks most likely the root has died and he will need a root canal, need to get x-ray and is now on antibiotics as there is infection in the gum. He's only in a little bit of pain but is bearable, much better than yesterday.

    Regards,
    Dianne
