We try not to have anything specific planned for weekends as I like to have it as relaxation time. That said, DH works some weekends, as does eldest DD and sometimes I work weekends as well. I try not to, as I really enjoy spending time with the girls. We usually do stuff around the house, gardening, home maintenance, housework, but we do it as a team and make it fun! We try to spend a couple of hours each weekend doing something fun out of the house, shopping, going to the beach, but lately that hasn't been happening. In footy season, eldest and youngest DD are usually at the footy every weekend!
No structure here. The only thing that happens that is a weekly occurrence is my DH going to his mothers for lunch. Kids and I are generally home all weekend, doing what we want when we want. Like weekdays though they do have a structured time for computer.
Astrid, I like your point about needing an at-home day. I also think we need some going-out-days to ours. Our problem is that we do a lot of the regular, domestic, sports stuff but not so good at getting out and about to different things. ie, we are all driving each other nuts with boredom. I appreciate the unstructured time, especially when it's the middle of the year and it's all happening, but it would be nice to incorporate some more variety too.
