    Printing digital scrapbook layouts

    Hi girls.

I have been doing some digital scrapbooking lately, and would really like to get some of them printed.

Anyone get their stuff printed? Where do you get it done? My favourite photo developers don't do 12x12 prints, but I could probably get them to print up smaller layouts. Was kinda hoping there would be somewhere online?

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

I am only new to Belly Belly and just stumbled across this thread. I print all of my digital scrapbook layouts at home on my own printer. I just buy photopaper and print on that.
I usually do the layout at 12 x 12 size and then before printing make a copy and reduce it to 8 x 8 size and print it on an A4 size photopaper.
Some people do get their layouts printed at photolabs, kmart etc but for me that can be way too expensive.

    Hope this helps

If anyone does now of anywhere to get 12x12's printed, let me know too!

Sarah_H might now: I know she does some amazing digi layouts......

Have you tried print / copy shops? Quick Copy etc? They might do them?

I have recently swapped layout sizes. I am nearly out of 12x12 papers, and am not far off converting totally to 8x12 () so I can print at home. (I do a lot of font journaling, so this is easier for me.)

Also, if anyone knows of anywhere to get reasonably priced 12"x12" frames, let me know? (Creative Memories used to, but no more........)

I come to your rescue LOL! I buy some digi scrapping page sets from clikchicdesigns (au) and they used to do both 12x12 and 8x8 printing, but now they get it done via shutterfly photo services but I *think* they only do the photo books, not sure if they do individual pages.

clikchicdesigns is now called designs in digital...just in case the search engine doesn't bring it up as CD anymore

    Thanks Lucy

The only way that I've had 12x12 layouts printed is into photo books, so I'm not really much help. Because it was wo difficult to get them printed I actually changed my setup to be 8x10 because it's easy to get things printed & framed that way. Not quite square, but you can still do some really great things in that size.

Spotlight definitely do 12x12 frames, depends on what your price range is I think they were about $20 last time I looked about 6 months ago. Otherwise at The Warehouse ($2 shop, not sure where else they are!) I bought some beautiful 12x24 frames that are specifically scrapbook ones, so you can do a massive double layout on them. The great thing is that they are sort of like shadow boxes so you can add on lumpy things as well as the digi (or paper) layout. Haven't quite gotten around to it yet & they've been sitting in my study for about 4 months LOL! I thik they were around $20 as well.

I get mine printed at Harvey Norman. They print them at 12x12 on larger photo paper (I think 16x18, or something) and I just trim the white from around the edges. I am a VIP member (which costs $10 a year) so I get it for $10, which is half price.

Woo hoo...thanks girls, this is all great info. Now I know where to get them printed, and where to get frames from! One happy camper here.

Now I just need to find that shop where they sell extra hours for your day...I think I need about 6 or so extra hours? Wonder how much that will cost. Hee he.

I found an Aussie site that specialises in printing scrapbook pages!! I haven't tried them yet, but, they are very reasonably priced...especially if you get a few pages printed at once.

I just got my fist lot of printed pages back. They are great!! They are printed on thick photo card...excellent quality! It cost me $102 for 17 pages, including delivery. The service was extremely fast and they sent out the prints without payment first, they just sent an invoive in the box.

AM - i use a program from Creative Memories - and then i cheat and dump them across as photo images to Big W and print there (well, i have done - when i do our wedding photos and E's first year i'll do the good ones)

the program isn't too exxy - you can get it for free from their website, but the free version only allows you to work with actual photo book layouts and just a basic black or white base. if you get the full paid one, you can get some predesigned layouts free, and other content either free or cheaper. if you go onto my FB profile and check out DH's father's day photobook - that was a predesigned one that took about an hour to do. it had places for lots more writing but i was feeding bubba - and decided to do it on the last day of a big w sale ($10 paperback photo book) - so i was kinda restricted

i'm about to start a new project - a book of "firsts" seeing we don't have a milestones book
