If you have a BBQ where you're going you could do bacon & egg rolls (or sausages) with some more gourmet condiments

Scones with jam and cream (very farm lady!)

I went to a kids party lately and there were delicious little sandwiches for the adults and a fruit platter, and it was plenty

You don't need endless variety - I see people getting so stressed out because they are just trying to do too much at parties
