Fish on Good Friday - What are you having??

It is fish & chips for us.

My DH is Catholic and refuses to eat other meat on Good Friday.

I am not so strict (not religious at all) so the kids had a ham sandwich for lunch but the family meal will be fish out of deference to my DH's beliefs.

Growing up it was trout or salmon, but now I am the chef I don;t cook fish because bleurgh so we had homemade burgers on the BBQ, nom nom nom.

I couldn't eat meat on Good Friday either for both religious and traditional reason. My children will also be taught the reason behind no meat on Good Friday and will always have a fish based dinner on Good Friday.

Since I'm all by my lonesone tonight (a completley different woohoo!!!!) I am going to have Fish & Chips with McDonald coke and large chocolate sunday for dessert - spoiling myself just a little bit!!!

Have always had fish on good friday.

For lunch I had Tuna on toast and soup at work and dinner I am cooking Barramundi and baked potatoes for us and Flathead tails for the kids.

Home crumbed basa (the budget was a little tight), oven baked, with hassleback potatoes, corn on the cob, and a couple of other veges.

Just realized I didn't mention what we are having...

DP is making chilli and garlic prawns with bok choy and either rice or noodles.

Since i was born we have never eaten meat on good friday, mum would get us fish and chips or we went to our grandparents and had flat head.

Ever since ive been with DP he doesn't do it but i still refuse. I dont even think about it.

Not sure whats on tonights menu... the only fish i have is fish fingers so may cook some up for myself and DD (and little man )
