I usually make a Madeira cake (baked in a bowl for a half circle shape), cover in icing and add 8 pieces of liquorish to make a funky spider cake. Decorate with icing and lollies for the face. You can make it as fun or as scary as you like, and for an added touch make the cake mix green so the colour is revealed when you cut into it.

Witches Fingers - Green Meringue piped onto a baking sheet with almond flakes as finger nails.
Brain Cupcakes - Piped Pink Icing as Brains.
Mummy Frankfurts - instead of making puffy dogs cut strands of pastry (or bread dough) and wrap the frankfurts up like mummies. Being sure to lave space for the face. Bake in a hot oven similarly to puffy dogs.
Mummy style pizzas - coat mini bases with tomato pizza sauce, using cheese strips or cheese stringers make the pizza look like a mummy using two olive slices for eyes.
Bakerella Ghost Pops (Google) I made these for DD's spooky disco birthday party.

We make the ghost pops too by popping 2 marshmallows on the end of a popstick, dipping in melted white choc, adding 2 silver edible balls (forget what they r called) for eyes and set them in fridge. Yummy
