    What do you bake pre-Christmas?

I know there is a sticky (above) with recipes but just wanted to know what people make in the lead up to Christmas. I generally do:

    shortbread
Xmas cake (to last the next year)
    panforte
    stained glass cookie
    rumballs white Xmas
fruit mince pies (homemade pastry and fruitmince)
    the Xmas cake 'pudding' thingos

They are for general eating, not necessarily gifts!

oohhh - I love when people make that kind of stuff for xmas! I dont know anyone who make stuff anymore, so I dont really bother myself. But since my kid is getting older I think I should get into pre baked goodies for xmas season (not mince tarts though - me and Dh hate raisons )

I always do gingerbread christmas trees - they are a must. I will often do brownies, hazelnut macaroons and shortbread. I'm not a fruit person, so I steer clear of fruit pies or fruit cake.

Rum balls are a must at christmas time in this family! Plus I also make christmas puddings in my slow cooker. Last year I made 2 of them for MIL to serve at christmas lunch (at her request mind you), but I will not be doing that again this year, after finding out that instead of serving the ones I made (which were delicious if I may say so), she served up tinned pudding instead! Why ask me to make them if you are going to eat tinned pudding??? Grrrrrr....

Anyway, the only other thing I always do is gingerbread men - DS loves to make these at christmas time, its a fun thing for the kids to do.
