You are doing such a good job Kate.

I grew up with just my mum. My Dad was unreliable in access visits and only had me rarely. By the time I was 10 I was organising my own access visits. I would ring Dad and tell him when he was having me ie which nights suited my schedule (I had swimming and gymnastics to fit in) I found he couldn't say no to me organising the visits so that is what worked. By the time I was 13 I had worked out that he was pretty useless without my mum ever having said a negative word against him. So, just keep doing what you are doing and as long as Lachlan is your first priority and you let him work it out for himself, I'm sure he will work out that his father is a waste of space all of his own accord without you having to do or say a thing.

Oh Kate....I have only just recently returned to BB and to read that this is happening to you makes me very sad......but also a little positive....
My husband and i have recently separated....for very different reasons to yours....but still it is hard for me at the moment. He just told me one night that he needed to be alone to "sort his #%$@ out". So he moved out.
You seem to be further along with things than I am.....I unfortunately want my husband back and i dont know if that will happen or not but i am at that point now that i just think....there is nothing i can do to help him so i need to concentrate on me and caitlyn....its hard because i am the one person that he turns to in times of trouble and so when he is having a bad day he calls/sms's me to talk about it.....aaarrrrgggghhhh.
Anyway - this post was about you not me sorry!!
Re the whole when he takes Lachlan.....my husband told me that he would take caitlyn on saturday afternoon adn return her sunday afternoon......hasnt happened and he has been gone for oiver 2 months. so i decided that i needed to be strong and say to him that if he wasnt there at 3 on saturday afternoon then he wouldnt be taking her and if he didnt get her by 9 on sunday morning he wouldnt see her. simple....to the point....then i am not waiting around for him to decide if he will be seeing his daughter....it was up to him to be there so that she knows when he will be there.....would this work with Craig?
I guess when men are acting like children we as woman need to be the adults in the situation and make things simplee for them.....I dont know if this post will help you or me more!!!
Anyway - i see things seem to be looking up for you anyway......am thinking of you.....

Hi Kate - You are doing a great job! Lochie sounds like he's growing into such a sweet little boy.

Hi Rebecca - sorry to hear about your separation. Hopefully things will work out for you.
