    Smile Thank you present ideas?

DH and I have recently bought our first home. It was in desperate need of repainting and recarpeting, so my Dad, MIL and a few others put in a good 4-5 days repainting the house with my DH. My Dad and DH will also be ripping up the old carpet before the new carpet is put down.

My Dad and MIL especially have been so helpful and done so much work for us that I really want to do something nice for them to say thank you, but I really don't know what. My Dad is quite hard to buy for, as he's not really into 'stuff'. Any ideas for what I could do to say thank you?

Thanks Saslia, that's heading in the right direction I think. My mum and dad go out for tea a fair bit anyway though, so it wouldn't seem as special iykwim? I'll keep pondering...

I guess it depends on how much you'd like to spend, but how about a night away in a nice hotel, or pay for them to go to Gold class movies.

Gold Class tickets... that's an idea, if not for my Dad, certainly for my MIL cause she's a big movie goer . Thanks.

I think dinner and movie tickets or maybe even a show depending on how much you wanted to spend.

Perhaps even a NICE ($50+) bottle of wine (if they drink, people tend not to spend that type of money on a bottle of Plonk normally,

Actually, a show would be good for my Dad... especially if a decent comedian is coming our way. Thanks for the ideas everyone .
