    Woo new thread.

Hey for all of you that continuously dream of nappies (ie - me!) I had the most awful dream last night - lost the baby, and they couldn't tell me what sex it was cos it was too early to tell

I think I'd rather dream of nappies. Bring back the fluff dreams I say!

Mel - Considering the Avvy rules with bellies and the fact you have had a belly in your av for a while now you know that you are too far for them to not be able to tell if the worst did happen - Not that it is, but dreams sometimes have the most bizzare things happen.

Lea - I made space as soon as I got home yesterday. There is a message in the messages section letting you know I made space

Nappies are mostly clean!! The last load needs to be hung out, DH is waiting till either nap time or Mum gets back from the chemist and supermarket (surprised they are open!!) with my drugs and some LF milk for Em.

My last 2 BumG's are about to die. I think they have 1 more wear in the elastic but they are very stretched. I am rather unimpressed with the quality of the elastic, especially considering the price so I dont think I will be getting any more of them.

Poor mel - my weirdest baby dream was giving birth through my ankle... don't know where that came from!

But found some bamboo cotton fleece fabric online so I'm getting that to make my own boosters. Since I'm getting into sewing so much I thought it wouldn't hurt to make my own...

Alioops - just a quick question, are you going to use cloth in hospital? I'm trying to decide if I take them in or just use sposies in there. (DH would be doing the washing and I don't think he is too keen about doing the nappies! - part of our compromise...)

Aww Mel I feel for you hun, those dreams are horrible. When are you going to tell us all how far along you are?

Ali - I see your Mum has arrived I was going to offer my help until she got here, she must have slipped in un-noticed or I missed a post lol

DS's cat is missing She's been gone for two whole days and nights now and he keeps asking for her. Our neighbours cat was poisoned a few weeks ago and now I'm fretting that the same has happened to our poor Ruby Cat. :'(

WOPB: Undies. He has been really good insisting on using the toilet yesterday and today. Also insists on wearing his willy hanging over the top of the undies too lol

Ryatha - Yep. The whole NB stash is in my suitcase. The hospital doesnt provide nappies but they do have a washing machine and dryer in the maternity ward so I figure why spend more money when I have plenty of nappies? Plus DH will be washing Em's nappies at home, he can carry a bucket of NB nappies to the laundry of the ward!! When I was under BC care (before life went pear shaped) my MW loved the nappies Em was wearing, so I suspect the MWs on the ward will be saying something about them every time they come in

CM - She arrived last night. Only 1 day that DH was at work and he had them in CC. Very lucky he is a very hands on dad. Was the neighbours cat poisoned by a toad or bait? Our cat isn't allowed outside because she has never seen a toad before and would try to eat it - death sentence!! Plus the dog would attack her. Hope your cat is found safe and sound!! I know the worry, before we got her up here mine went missing for a month. We were ready to replace her!!

WOEB: Unchanged. Will be getting changed soon though, she needs a sleep.

Ali - Nextdoor claims their cat was baited and warned us about it a few days ago. Ruby stays away from toads, we taught her that much at least. We had another cat go missing before we got Ruby 12 months ago, she just left and never came home. I'm worried that there is a neighbour somewhere that's baiting them. She's desexed, has a microchip and collar with a bell so it's not like she looks feral or un-owned. She ALWAYS comes inside when we call her

WOPB: Blue snap in IB. We're going up to the shop

CM - I hope she comes home soon and she has just been exlporing. We had a cat poisoned too - by the church next door! - and it was so upsetting for DD. Keep calling her and hoping. We also lost one of our other cats for a few days, she was just stuck in the neighbours shed! GL

    I'm um.. not.. LOL

Went to work this morning for a few hours, so DH had to watch the kids. Apparently its much "easier" now to look after the kids than it was a few months ago - apparently he basically sat on his butt and they went mad around the house playing with each other. I told him thats why the house looks like an utter pigsty when he comes home from work each night during the week cos they go insane some days!! lol

Nappy related... they are hanging outside in the sun?

WOTB's: dunno - DH changed both of them before I got home

Thanks girls - I will try to keep calm with the thought that Ruby is just out roaming somewhere and will come home when she is ready.

Just arrived home from the shops. Someone saw DS's fluff sticking out above his pants when he bent over and said to her co-worker "aww look he has fluffy undies" lol I just laughed and walked away. I'll let them keep that image

So annoyed. Vodafone has decided that North QLD needs to have a service outage. So no mobile coverage grrrrr.

What can I say to make this post clothy? Oh! The Cuddles n Cloth or Abby Gro stocking has been set back ladies. It's not on tonight any more, but NEXT Monday night 15th. Renee is sick, she posted it on her facebook page for those of you that didn't see it.

WOPB: Still blue IB - he fell asleep.

ETA: Arimeh - I guess we'll find out when he/she is born? lol

    hi ladies

just popping in to say that we had our first REAL MCN experiences today - have been using flats and covers til now for convenience sake, but today we used fitteds and cover - so simple! loved it. Even SIL, who was a little skeptical about MCN's really liked them!

WOEB - HH sherpa NB fitted and Maz custom cover

    Hi from Beirut!
Just wanted to say I think I'm the first person ever to use MCN in the Middle East! And that's cool. Can't wait to get home to the rest of our stash, though. Pampers sposies are disgusting, but I can't do fluff full time here.
Congrats BG on the lovely Miss Emerald, and your first MCN adventures!
    Good luck Ali!
    Hi everyone else!

WOAB: aforementioned sposie, with Maz-a-licious Pot Of Gold cover!!

    KATIE RABBIT
to answer your question form previous thread

i used baby beehinds bamboo foldups, padfolded, as my pretend bamboo prefold, on my newborn, laid inside a nb sized cover with leg gussets, they worked beautifully on my 3.79kg newie.

up to just a few months ago, when bilby tt-d, we used them constantly all the way through. at nb stage as pretend prefolds, then in the other stages as pocket stuffers, (by themselves at first, later, in combination with other boosters), as boosting for night nappies and fitted day nappies.

    they were so useful.

NANA - how wonderful to hear from you, all the way from Beirut! I bet your rellies are having fun making a fuss over Aadi! and why not? he's gorgeous.

ALIOOPS - good to hear from you, any word on WHEN your c-section will be? i know you're anxious to have as much time as you can, with Leah and your dh before he goes away.

My friend who has just started her bub in MCN, is enjoying the first week. Her lovely bub is on solids, so straight to flushable liners. But typical, the ones that fit her bub the best, are the "hyena" type nappies! oi! my Dh put extra snaps on the cushie tushies yesterday, hoping that will make them fit her bub better.

her dh installed the little squirt, they are both using it fine. loving the night nappies, have gone 100% overnight really. not sure if they are using it "out of home" yet or not. but she does have a wetbag. i'm so pleased for her, that it's all going to plan and working so well. SHe's such a lovely person.

i was all set to be "pro front closures" and "pro wide crotch styles" with my friend, you know, have an open mind, in spite of all my experience with bilby, being about sidesnappers and narrow crotch mcn. so it's pretty ironic, that this bub, after having lots of styles put on her, actually DOES fit SS and the narrow crotch styles the best. i swear i had NOTHING to do with this! (it just kills me that i sold ours, the week BEFORE she told me, she wanted to do mcn).

wotbb: blueberry trainer and woollen longies (great combo for dry everything).

hi NaNa all the way over the other side of the world !! too bad about not mcn full time . but sometimes theres nothing else we can do ... hope you having a great time ...

Gigi - i think i posted but can remember , i was at greenfest the otherday and saw a real live bilby ... sooo soft and prudy with its big eyes ... awww

I have gabs in a NN atm , (well shes still in bed) i dont often put her in a NN as all mine are size Med Long or Large ... and Med Long is just way to big on her . and usuing a BBH fitted with loniges is hard as you can only boost the inner and then her crotch becomes big ... so she is in a KK med long with the hugest bum in the world , i think i might have to looking into a sandman in Med ... as my sand man is a Large and wayyyy to big on my shorty ...

I am getting 2 nappies for gabs's birthday ( i got 2 for nixon , so its only fair ) one is from GF (ss with her name and a caterpiller on it) and the other is a Bundle of buns (her name with a butterfly on it !) the prices of nappies have gone up so much since i got customs for Nixon ... instead off $60 for 2 customs its now $80 something ... so now i have to save up ... i thought mcn was cheaper ... lol
