Question What is your favourite thing about being a SAHM ?

I've been sitting here today thinking how lucky I am to be in a position to be home with DS by choice and thinking of all the things I love about it (yes there are quite a few things that don't excite me too )

    I love :-

*seeing him do something new everyday
*being able to take the time to look after DH by baking, making him lunches etc
*knowing I am giving DS the security of knowing I am never far away
*not having to jam all my chores errands into the weekends
*just being able to curl up on the couch and have bubba cuddles
    * A country practice reruns

What do you like about being a SAHM?

A bunch of things, but most of all the fact that I dont miss any of her first milestones(apart from today when I left her on the activity mat to do something and came back and she had rolled over onto he belly for the first time )
The last week has been tough with teething, but Im glad you posted this thread to make me realise how lucky I am, Thank You!

for me, i just love being at home....

i love that i can spend time with DD all day, we can spontaneously go out to the park, or shops or whatever...

i love that i can have dinner made by lunch time!

i love that i can do housework all day if i like, or NOT do any housework if i dont feel like it!

i like not having to rush out the door to work..

i just love being with my little girl..

I will go back to work after xmas, but again part-time. (i worked 12 months part time, i finished up back in March.) the extra money will be good, but i would prefer to bring in less $$ and be at home more.

I've been a sahm for the past 7 years and I love it.
I love that I can spend all day with my girls.
As my two eldest dd's are at school, i love that i can be involved in all the extra things that happen at school, like reading, going to assembly, going to Parent Morning, and catching up with the other mums in my class.

I'll go back to work eventually, but I'm so lucky that we're in a position that i can stay at home. That could always change at the drop of a hat though.

I love being able to do mornings in our own time, not having to rush out the door getting cranky and trying to hurry everyone up.

I love being able to nap during my 'lunch hour'

I love being able to set my own mummy/family goals .... at the moment I am reorganising DS's toys, including researching what open-ended toys are good for his age and either buying or making these.

I love being able to spend my days looking after the most important people in my life.
