    Ooo I'm first

"Bubble" (yet to be named) was born this morning(19/6) at 34+3 weeks gestation. He is currently in the NICU, but I am hoping his breathing gets better overnight and he'll be up here on the ward with me soon

Look forward to sharing journeys with everyone else

    Smile Leon has arrived

    Hi Guys,

My name is Eloise and I am the proud and extremely happy mum to "Leon", who arrived on the 18/06/09 at 3.24 AM.

So far he is a very calm yet alert little baby and I do not know what I would do without him.

Look forward to speaking with more of you new parents as time goes on.

    Regards
    Eloise

Sally - on Tristan being home so quick!!! He is a little champ!!!

Leah was born at dinner time on the 15th and was due on the 20th so I got to know a lot of the girls who should be in here through belly buddies. Being late in the day we are kind of half way between baby buddies groups so I am going to go in both

She is quite a happy little bub. She is very petite though, right now, at 2.5 weeks she is wearing a 00000 suit. It is starting to get a little bit small for her though, so she will be in 0000 for our night out tonight and I doubt she will get back into the 00000 by tomorrow.

Good to see you in here ali

Tristan is 2 weeks old today! He's waking only once overnight, with a last feed at around 10pm and first morning feed around 8am. Usually waking around 3am, which is just fine for me

CHN is coming over for a home visit on Tuesday, cant wait to weigh him!

    Hi Guys,

Amelia was born on 22 June (due date was 2 July) after around 12 hours of labour which went well - the problems started afterwards when the midwife realised that there was still some placenta left behind which was creating issues with breastfeeding.

Amelia lost 13% of her birth weight so she was initially topped up on formula but things seem to be going ok now - she is back on breastmilk only and sleeps between 2.5 to 4 hrs between feeds (she tend to sleep 4hrs + at night!). We have another visit to the maternal health nurse on Monday so will hopefully have more positive news to post

Time is flying by - I cant believe she is 12 days old already!

    Hello baby09

I hear you on the time flying by! Goes far too quick!

Tristan is finally starting to look 'normal' in colour. He's not so yellow and glowing (Jaundice) He's also not as sleepy when feeding now either. Glad that his Jaundice is clearing up!

Hello Girls, congratulations on the arrival of your little ones, hope your all doing well.

Ethan is 3 weeks old today, not sure how that time went so quickly, he`s lost his new baby look and is starting to smile and make baby noises.

For once I actually have a little boy, his brothers were 2lbs heavier at birth, only problem is I had all 000 outfits but MIL and my Mum brought a couple of 0000 for me which fit him nicely, he only lost 30gms at 3 days old, he gets his first weigh in tomorrow, he`s quite heavy now and has got longer so I`ll be interested to know what he`s put on.

Matthew has been nicknamed mother Hen by me, he`s so very clucky, Adrian is at times as well but he`s a bit rougher.

BFing is going well, although I came down with suspected mastitis at 5 days, I rang my OB and he said it sounded like mastitis, I`ve never had a problem with BFing before so that was all new to me.

I can't believe how quick the time is going! Tristan is just 2 days younger than Ethan

Tristan is sleeping 7-8 hours overnight and it's heaven! I just hope it continues now

They grow up too quickly don`t they Sally. Wow @ sleeping 7 - 8 hours overnight, that`s wonderful.

We`re having a restless day here with Ethan, it`s continuing on from his restless night, he went down at 10.30pm, up at 1.15am until 3.50pm, up again at 5.55am, down at 6.25am, awake again at 7.15am and so it`s continued but on the good side we`re getting proper smiles today and lots of them, all week we`ve had half smiles but today they have been full on

His weigh in went well and has grown 3 cms and put on 690 gms since he was 3 days old, he`s now on 75th percentile for height and 50th for weight, sounds a bit strange saying that as both his brothers have always been on the 97th percentile for height and weight and still are.

Seems very quiet in here, hope your all well.

Hi Dee and congratulations on your little boy
A quick update on me - I got Amelia weighed again on Friday and she had only put on 30g since Monday (so she is now 3.13kg, birthweight was 3.29), so I am now topping her up each feed with formula and also expressing when I can. Im taking sustagen three times a day along with fenugreek tablets to try and increase my supply. The nurse said my supply should start to increase by Monday (fingers crossed!).

She has been a bit restless today but will hopefully settle down again soon.

I am getting her weighed again on Thursday so hopefully she has put on at least the 15g per day they say is normal!

Hope you are all going well with your bubbas

baby09, fingers crossed for you. Have you looked into the lactation cookies? I'm going to make some to try and boost my supply.

Dee, what an awesome weight gain!

Well, both my boys are sick ATM (and touch wood) Tristan only has a snotty nose and is restless. Brendan also has a cough, but he's been sick for 2 weeks now
Apart from that, everything is going well here.

Hi ladies! Congratulations to you all. My name is Rachel. I had my gorgeous son Noah on June 25, 1 day late. I also have a gorgeous daughter, Grace, & she is 2. Noah weighed a hefty 4.2kgs at birth & was a long 54cm. He is a very placid, alert baby. He feeds & sleeps well. He does vomit a lot though but it doesn't seem to bother him. He gained over 330g in his first week but he was weighed today & he has since lost 90g. The nurse said its probably no big deal - especially as he hasgrown another 2 cm making him 56 cm long now, plus he is happy, alert, settled & has plenty of wet nappies- but I am not allowed to let him go longer than 6 hours overnight in between feeds until we weigh him next week. So no more long night sleeps for me this week! Got me a bit down this afternoon as didn't expect it but ok now & just hope that he puts on when he gets weighed next week.

Baby09- hope Amelia puts some extra weight on for you.

Hope everyone else is continuing along well.

Hi Rachel, congrats Sounds like Noah is doing really well

Tristan had a better night last night. I made the Lactation Cookies last night and ate a few (they are sooo yummy) we had a much better feed and he slept a lot better too.

I'm going to get him weighed at the chemist on Friday, he was weighed last week and was only just above birthweight (3100 grams).

    Welcome Rachel
I might have to give those lactation cookies a go - today hasn't been too bad, I think my milk supply is increasing and Amelia didnt need a top up with formula for her morning feed and took 40ml at midday. Hopefully it's on the improve!

Definately give them a go! My theory was I havent lost anything if I try... and if they taste horrible I'm sure Brendan would have eaten them LOL... They are really yummy and I wish I'd made two batches instead of one And I really feel like they work, my boobs feel fuller, Tristan is feeding better and thats after just a few cookies since last night!

I have the recipe if you like
