Is Lola a nickname for Charlotte??

I know Lola is a diminuative for Delores but my friend seems to think its generally accepted that its a name for Charlotte too.

I know anything can be a nickname for anything, but she is saying its GENERALLY regarded by most people as a nickname for it. I disagree.

So, to settle our debate, what do you think??

I am thinking about names for a girl. Im preggers with a boy at the moment but I wont let that stop me daydreaming. I was thinking of Lola Charlotte, but if they are sorta related in some way then maybe thats a strange name...whatdya think?

I've never heard of it either. Our niece is Charlotte and she only gets Charli as a nickname. I can't see how anyone can get Lola out of Charlotte Lola is a cute name though!

Im with Taurean; ive heard Charli for Charlotte never Lola; i do like all those names tho hehe

I have heard of it as a French nn for Aurelie.
And a family I know used it for Holly.
But no, not Charlotte.
