How long did it take u too....

Just watching neighbours this week and the new bub hasnt been named yet!
So im just wondering how long after giving birth did it take u to name your bub?
We named Bianca straight away - we had 2 names picked but favoured Bianca much more, and when she was born it really suited her, so Bianca Jane it was!!!

We found out at 16 weeks we were having a girl, we decided on a name within 2 weeks of finding out. When she was born we did not even consider giving her another name .

We have our boys name picked already and possilbly a girls name, as soon as we find out the gender of this baby I am positive we will be settled on a name within a fortnight again.

As soon as we found out at the 19 week scan we named our babies, we just felt like we needed to start calling the bubs by its name when still inside me:-) Then when they were born the name really suited them i suppose cause thats what we had been calling them the entire time. I am not sure if that makes sense sorry LOL!!! Been a loooonnng dayLOL

I was so sure I was having a boy that we had decided on a boys name and then when they told me it was a girl we had to think about it! LOL. So Isabella was not named for 2 hrs or so. When I was born I was "baby" for a day as mum and dad could not agree!!

All our boys have gone up to a day without a name depending on when they were born and having to see whether the name fits or not, I'm very particular and the name has to suit them, lol.

When I had DS we had 2 names picked out and when the nurse asked what his name was I blurted the 1st one out that came to mind and that was his name. With DD1 we had her name picked for either boy or girl pretty much from the beginning of the pregnancy. DD2 was a different story, she wasn't named for a day or so. We just couldn't find a name to go with her middle name so in the end DH named her and it stuck.

Haha, my aunt and uncle took 6 weeks to name their last son AFTER he was born (now 22) - finally they decided on Beau!

DD1 was named early on, but it changed at 7 months pg. We stuck with that name. Middle name was a toss up, but was decided straight away.
DD2 was named at about 20 weeks pg, but we changed (again) 2 weeks before she was born.
DS was between 3 names. I tried to get mine in just after birth, but DH refused About 10 minutes for first name, about an hour or 2 for middle name.

We had DD's name picked out before she was born but were undecided on a middle name. We decided that pretty much straight after we saw her. We were still tossing around a boys name.
This time around we have got a list of girls and boys names and are going to wait until we see bubba for inspiration. We are really struggling agreeing on a name this time. Hopefully it bubba won't be un-named for too long.

With DD, I had a name that I favoured but when she was born...nope. So it was 2 or 3 days I think before she was named.
DS1 was named immediately after birth...I still regret that, I don't know that I was in any condition to be naming a child!
DS2 was named within a couple of hours, I can't remember exactly how long. With the boys we had a short list & chose names off that.

With this bub there is only one name that has really stuck with us...it's a bit of a worry as I would prefer to wait until she is born before we really decide, but at this rate it's a one-horse race in terms of a name - unless something else pops up at the last minute...

Two weeks AFTER she was born.

We both thought (so much for instinct) that we were having a boy so had a boy's name picked out but nothing for a girl really.

And after we'd finally chosen a first name, we were completely stumped for a middle name so chose the middle name we'd picked for a boy - Mackenzie.

I have now picked another boy's name if we have another baby (Rafferty) but what's the betting I have another girl and it will be back to square one!

All our friends and family were completely frustrated with us by the way, but what's two weeks in the whole scheme of things?

One week after she was born.

We had some names, the one we agreed on didn't suit her, and as we weren't really in the midset, too worried about her, rather than thinking about what to name her, it took us quite a bit of time, to find the "right" name.

We did name her differently and I even changed it on our BLOG at midnight on a Sunday night, and DH went home 1 hour later he wrote back another suggestion which I loved more - a variation on the original and I agreed, so quickly changed the Blog

Both times we had a number of names picked out and had decided to make the final choice once bubs was with us. DD1 was named in the theatre, I was pretty sure I was having a girl and was set on the name. DD2 was named in recovery. I "pulled rank" on DH and chose my favourite name, it was one that he was happy with but not his favourite.
