Anyone else already spent their tax return in their heads?!!!!

    AAARRRRGHHHH!!!

Stupid money crisis. Mine is already gone four or five times over .
We are so behind since DF lost his job. Thankfully we should be right once it comes in but argh what a strain!

So is yours spent yet? Was it bills or do you get to splurge? Anyone having a lovely night out when they get theirs?

YES mine is spent so much so I have an ideal amnt I'd like us to get LOL. We are renovating, so it's going to cover the hall floor & paint a couple rooms....any left over will get some bits & pieces from IKEA to complete our home. I have a 27week deadline!!

DH spent most of ours already. Doh! He wants to save the rest.

Yep, yep. I can totally see that happening.....

Every time we get a large sum he always has plans on saving some. Always. Think he has managed to save a cent yet?

Oh mine is so spent that i reckon i wont even get to see it!!!

first thing is first- bedroom suite for DD-$750 this is a must, as she currently has a matress on the floor, no drawers... and i want her to have a pretty big girls room!

next is food shop- about $200 in Aldi, then about $250 in coles/safeway- i plan to buy at least TWO of everything we need from Aldi, and then just stock up on basics, and things like sauces/veg oil etc.. the stuff that you forget you need till you actually need to use it and its not there!

Bills- i havent added the total.. but i want to at least pay off elec & gas so that i can have payment plans.. and be ahead! then water/phone. we dont have any debt which is great! just bills.

then, if there is anything left, we get to split it! for me, i need clothes desperately.. like, yeah, thats not even a luxury.. its a need!

we dont need anything for DD2..and DD1 is pretty well set, as we just had her birthday, so yeah. i might layby some spring clothes shoes, and leave a deposit, but she isnt in desperate need of anything!

dp will probably spend some on his car....

and then.... we should be right money wise. we'll have a lot more FTB this year, so hopefully we can keep ourselves in top of everything! rather than being so far behind

Yep, paying the credit card that we had to use while I was on mat leave with ds. Since he was a surprise, we had no savings to use....and maybe a bit on summer clothes for the kids, or to start on chrissy pressies. I'm hoping it's going to be a big cheque!! LOL!

Yes, we need a bigger car and we need to move, so it we go towards one or the other. I just don't know which is the most important .

I've done an estimate on my tax return and I should get a decent amount back because I only worked for 7 months. Then I'll also get some FTB too as I way way way over estimated my income because I didnt know how long I'd be working for. I dont know how much DH will be geting back, but we'll probably spend his on bills. I hate how all the big bills come due at the same time
We're about to do some minor renovations in our house and we're spending my tax return on that. We have a terrible floor at the moment - parquetry floorboards with carpet over the top of them, but all the floorboards have come unstuck from the subfloor so they are loose under the carpet and you can feel them move under your feet when you walk on them, so the floor is really uneven (the previous owners obviously did a cheap job on the floor when they put the carpet down!). We're getting it fixed with brand new floorboards in 3 weeks.

I will only get the education tax refund because I don't work, but it will pay off the little bit that is on the cc and then I need to buy some new sheets for our bed plus buy some for DS2's bed when we get it. I am not really thinking too much about the FTB supplement/top up as I haven't a clue if we will be over or under (probably under though) to think about it yet, but on the wish list is a new dining table and chairs, a unit for the TV and then the rest in savings for a holiday.
