Anthiea: you're doing so,so well! i can understand the connection thing you'd have with your DH. if you need to talk...im around mmk?
As for mg - yeah we go to eather others places for the time being. its soooo cold here in melb its the best idea (and the cheapest! hehe) i havent really 'connected' with any of the mums. i guess i'm still in my shell - had too meany bad experances with "all girls" haha (went to an all girls school...and lets just say...in year 12...walls were my wepon of choice ) but they're all really nice so maybe i'll settle in a bit better...who knows...if all else fails i have you lovies on BB - my life saver alot of the time!
Huge hugs Antheia! I really feel for you. We're all here as much as you need.
Sorry, no personals tonight as I am absolutely buggered! Oliver has been a big cranky pants since 5pm, and has only just gone down to sleep. I'm now beginning to think maybe he is teething... He's so cranky and unlike himself. I'm off to bed to try and catch as many zzz's as possible. Goodnight.
sterla :aww poor you! i hope oli goes back to his 'old angelic self' soon! maybe once the teethie pegs are though he'll be better? maybe try giving him something to chew on?
AFM: been a a good day...DH is home "sick" again (so dont get me started on him haha) i finaly put the rest of my wedding photos on fb! i better go i got a whingey sooky bum of a baby today!
Hey Girls,
Sterla Im feeling you, hope Oli is better tonight. How was he through the night?
We have been trying to get Winter down for over an hour now, she keeps waking up screaming. Gave her some panadol but jeez I hope she sleeps ok poor Baybay.
Had MG today in the park, was good Im spent though.
A much, much better day here for Oliver and I - apart from Oliver waking up at 5.30am and deciding it was time to start the day. He was awake from 5.30-7.30am, then slept for an hour. Sorry for the continual updates on Oliver's crankiness/non-crankiness, etc - I know it's normal baby-stuff, but I don't have anyone else IRL who really understands, and it feels really good to just vent about it and know I'm not the only one .
Peach: Big . I hope Winter settles down soon, poor poppet. Wow, I can't believe how soon Winter will be 5 months!
Blip: I checked out your wedding pics - so nice, you look gorgeous! Hope Daz is better for you tonight.
Antheia: Hope you're doing okay .
Moose: How are you and Sammy doing? Busy? How is her teething going?
AFM: Oliver is rolling heaps now - still from tummy to back. He's really perfected his technique now, and rolls every time I put him down. He rolled over for his Nin today (DH's mum). Now everyone except his Mormor (my mum) has seen him do it.
We had the first sunny day in about 10 days today - it was so nice to see blue sky (and be able to get some washing dry), but my goodness it was cold! It seems as soon as the rain goes, frost takes it place . Oh well - all part of living in Tassie I suppose.
Tomorrow an old (as in 83) family friend is going to be visiting. I've known him since I was a little girl, and he's been like a grandfather in a way. He hasn't met Oliver yet, and I haven't seen him since Christmas, so I'm quite excited about seeing him again and having him meet Oliver .
peach: is it refulx? i know daz gets it bad from time to time an the infants friend helps that. or the browiers (sp?) helps as well...i hope she sleeps better for you tonight!
sterla: aww about oli waking up at 5:30! must want to be an early bird! daz wakes up for a feed around 3:30-4...but sleeps again untill 8am (as i put him in bed with DH and I!) i hope he starts sleeping though for you again!
AFM: its been a quiet ish day. daz rolled from his tummy to his back today (so he can now go from back to tummy and then tummy to back!) but he seems to get annoied he cant move any where! which is semi amuseing to watch! daz has also found his voice box! he sits there making like umm...how do i type this? ....'aughhhhhh" noise along with the normal "a-gah" ones! i better head off to bed.
gnight ladies!
ello ladies, its been quiet here!
how is every one going?
had a good day with my highschool teacher and friends. they thought daz was cute (but who wouldnt ) one of my friends her sister is UTD and due *any* day now. so i might be seeing them this comming week! we also have a MCHN appt to see how much daz has grown which will be interesting as he's now in 0's (can still fit into 00's too...) but is getting bigger. i bought the next teat size up for daz too (we use the MaM bottles here) but its a little fast, the other was a little slow!) so i've been putting a little of the farx stuff in it to thicken it up (one of the other mums from MG did it too...) and its helped cus i found the thickner would get too thick (daz takes about 120mls then about 30-40mins later takes anoter 60ml (so around the 190ml mark...) and it's turn really thick by that stage!) but other then that...not much is happening...i better go feed the bottemless pit before he eats "mr Pineapple"
Yeah, it does get quiet here on weekends. Blip, that's great about seeing your old high school teacher and friend. It's nice that you're so close with a teacher - I haven't seen any of them since high school (mind you, I don't live in the town I went to high school in, so that may have something to do with it, lol).
Had a fairly busy day, and last night. Last night some friends brought a game over. Oliver went down for the night at 7.30pm, so I was 'off duty' for the evening. We played old school Mario Party, but it took forever... we didn't finish playing till 11.30pm, and I was sooo tired by then. Then Oliver woke up at 3am and 5.30am, and then again at 6.30am... so I didn't get much sleep .
Today we went and saw an old family friend who is in hospital. He saw Oliver for the first time which was nice. He had a hold, but it was very awkward - I forget what it's like not being used to holding babies, lol .
Ooh, and this just happened!!! Oliver sat up on his for a few seconds! I'd just changed his nappy, and pulled him to sitting, and I carefully let go for a bit and he sat all by himself. A bit wobbly of course, but definitely on his own. I tried many times after that, and he kept doing it! Such a clever boy - he'll probably be sitting on his own no worries soon!
How is everyone else doing? I hope you're all well.
I completely forgot to mention... My DH donated blood on Friday through work, and passed out! He's donated once before and almost passed out then. This time he managed to get through the actual giving of blood, but passed out 5 minutes later. His boss ended up driving him home, so he had half of Friday off. Now he's caught a cold . We don't think he'll be giving blood again.
And Oliver has started waving! Little smartypants lol .
sterla: aww about the lack of sleep with Oli's feeding but its good to hear you had some 'time off'! as for you DH, i hope he feels better soon! poor thing passing out - i've done that too many times (and not due to boosehaha) and i know it sucks! and with Oli's waving and sitting up on his own!
ended up being 'peopled out' today! we had my cosens come over to drop off some selves for us then i got a phone call and one of the girls i saw friday she came over with her sister who is 38wks UTD. but shes 'over' it hah. kind of made me a little...green eyed...i miss having a bump! but it was a nice day. i think daz may have teeth coming though - his cheeks have gone pink 0_o he's also rather...dribbly and just...irratiable...so heres hopeing if it is - that its over quick!
i better go and make a bottle up...maybe that'll make him feel better!
hope every one is having a good day!
moose: YaY! your alive! ooo sounds fun planning sammys Christening!
Sterla: im glad MG is starting for you! you'll be the uber mum who knows everything!
AFM: daz was a gumpy bum last night...so we gace him a bottle...two stinky farts later...he was fine. when he woke up again we gave him a bottle...and then we tried him on that farix stuff (its not that brand but yeeah...) and we got video of it...my GAWD daz look like a lizzard/snake! haha his toung was going in and out in and out like mad...i almost cried i laughed that hard. but it didnt help the reflux like i'd hoped it would...but then agian DH wanted to give him a bath...so i dont think that helped :eyeroll: but i tired him again thismoring (after DH went to work) and he seemed ok with it...but who knows - im hopeing it'll help the reflux...it seemed to thismoring...who who knows!
oo i better go...daz is awake....hope every one is having a good day!
hope everyone is well, we have been soo busy over the last few days. Nana and Poppy are already down as my SIL is expecting any day now and they are staying for the Christening as well which is this coming Sunday. I also had a girl's night out this week-end and boy was it AWESOME!!! We went out for nibbles & wine at one of my friends place, followed by a dinner at an Indian restaurant which was very average but the wine and the conversation wasn't! we went back to my friends place afterwards as well and had some more wine! I got home at 12:30am LOL Thankfully I drank some water through it out but we had a really good time we decided we would do this quaterly. Unfortuntely, 8am mass on Sunday ( pre-christening for Sam) was a tad aearly and mummy was feeling a bit green but I managed. We then had yum cha at 11:30am with the godfather of Sam for his birthday, we got back home around 2 and once Sam went down for a nap, we all crashed really hard and the whole family had a 2 hours sleep.
I just weighed Sammy this am and she is a whoopin' 6.42kg which brings her almost to the 50th percentile on the chart. She is doing so well and it seems we have finally worked out what works for her. Her sleeping is almost back to normal, she seems to only wake up once now, anywhere between midnight and 3am but it seems that she then sleeps til 6am, her usual awake time. Solids are going really well, she LOVES sweet potato, her fave by far and we are going to try carrots tonight.
Will be back later for personals but Sammy is almost up and I have a stew to put on the stove before she wakes up.
Blip: Lol about the stinky farts! Sometimes they just need to get out those bubbles in their tums! Actually, speaking on that subject... Oliver is on day 4 of no poos! I know it's normal, cause he's fully breastfed, but it means that he's been doing some stinky farts! I'm dreading thinking about the poo explosion that will occur when he finally goes!
Moose: You are a busy woman aren't you?! Wow, girl's night sounds awesome! Lol about all the wine... I haven't had wine for soooo long. I'm actually having a girl's weekend this weekend (well, girls + Oliver ). We have our housewarming Saturday afternoon, but then am having DVD night that night, and Sunday brunch with all my girlfriends! I bet Sammy will be spoilt rotten at her christening! That's so great about her weight gain... I'm still constantly amazed at how much bub's weights vary and are still considered normal. And yay for solids .
Antheia: Hope you're coping okay hun.
Peach: Where are you? Hope you and Winter are good .
AFM: Well, just got back from my first MG, and it was pretty good. There are heaps of mums there (about 14 others). I honestly thought Oliver would be the oldest there, but he was about in the middle age-wise. The oldest bub was about 8 months, the youngest about 3.5 months. Everyone was really nice and friendly, and I actually sort of knew one girl there. A good friend of mine has another friend with a bub (and she's always telling me all about her), and she was at this MG! That certainly helped break the ice . I didn't talk to many other mums yet, but the group seems quite friendly, so I'm really looking forward to getting to know some of them. Oliver was great at MG too - on his best behaviour and grinning a lot .
moose: aww about feeling green around the gillls after the girls night out! im glad you made it though the service at chrurch though! (you should have tired 'hair of the dog' also known as - just keep drinking' )
Sterla: YaY for MG going well. it'd be cool having bubs at all ages! you get to see 'whats comming next' as such! thats also good of Oli to behave himself to boot!
AFM: been a quiet day. daz has only slept for an hour all up (4X15min naps) but isnt grumpy. has been feeding more then normal and his reflux isnt too bad eather but his 'spew rash' as we've dubbed it got worse a few days ago with 2days of bad re-flux but is clearing up again Ohh and i found out the lady who lives next door is UTD! 20wks on thursday (well thats the 20wk scan..) which is pritty cool! i spoke to her DH and he was pritty excited, i offered to keep her enertained if she needs it towards the end ( i know how bored i'd have been with out BB!) and it made me go green eye'd again! haha...im starting to scare myself with how much im missing having a bump!
Ohh and i uploaded some more wedding pics on FB for those who have me on FB...i may upload some here too...they where done by DH's bestfriends DP - she did the BEST job. she even took a pic of one the groomsmen fixing a car - on the way to the wedding- in his sute and all! plus some photos in a car park while the groomsmen (now) XDP paid a bill for DH :P
Ooo i better go. daz is sounding hungry....he's a hunrgy hippo today!
Hope every one is having a good day!
