Unhappy Low and Slow HCG levels

    Hi all,
Just looking for some reassurance. My HCG levels have been low and slow from the beginning I will give you a run down.

    14dpo 42
16dpo 47 had a little cry and was waiting for misscarrige to start. Even had a review with FS as to what treatment plan is for the future.
18dpo 107 couldn't believe it was going up
    21dpo 313
    24dpo 808
    28dpo 2680
    31dpo 4570 6 weeks 3days

Has anyone had similar levels with a baby outcome because all my research does not look promising. Think I feel sick with nerves. Asked the clinic if these levels are ok and the girl said to me as long as they are doubling they are fine. Well my Maths suggest they are not still doubling. ARRRGH some help would be great I am going insane.

My hCG levels started of really low with this pregnancy. At 4 weeks it was 200, then at 5 weeks it was 3280. A scan at 6w6d showed a tiny bubba with a heart rate of 145BMP. I am now 29 weeks pregnant with an ever squirming little one.

Don't be alarmed by the levels hun, although I am no expert on hCG levels I know they can vary from person to person, and pregnancy to pregnancy.
Fingers crossed you have a very sticky little one in there

    Hi Saph,

I hope you don't mind I'm pasting parts of an earlier post I made. We had an early scan because we'd done IVF so were able to see the heart rate a bit sooner. I'm not sure if this is something you can do?

It looks like you've had very similar numbers to those that I had - and I was the same as you, trawling the web for any positive story I could find!

FWIW I gave birth to a 3.9kg (so not little) little man after all of that kerfuffle. Happy and healthy, if a bit of a handful

I wish you luck in your journey,
    Tish
    xx

    -----

We did a stim cycle in January, and 14 days after the transfer my HCG was 45. They said they liked to see at least 100 to "call it" (I remember thinking "how can i be half pregnant??"), and wanted to do a repeat test to see if they were doubling properly. At 18 days post transfer my levels were 150, so still not high enough - repeat test at 24 days showed 900. All this time they were talking about D&C and our next cycle, which was hugely scary. They still weren't happy with how the levels were going up and did ANOTHER repeate test at 31 days which was 4500. A week later we saw a heart beat on the 7 week scan and that put the matter to rest!! Right now I'm 30 weeks - everything has been very smooth.

During that time I was basically looking for ANY positive story I could find, and even read about ladies who at 2 months preg could POAS and get a negative result because their HCG was low, and went on to have healthy babies.

In any case, even if the next test doesn't come back as high as "they" expect things could still be ok
