How long did you wait for baby bonus ???

Coz we're still waiting....H is 6 weeks this Friday.
Ive rang numerous times....even went into Medicare on Monday and was told totally unacceptable waiting this long, and the nice lady rang head office and was told it would be done immediately.

Rang this morning, spoke to a rather rude lady,but anyway, and she said its still being processed....grrrrrr.

I sent our forms in 2 june.....

Funny, coz with DD#3 it was done in less than a week. Now its taking forever

Ours took ages - 9 weeks in total as it was amidst all the stimulus payments. Hope it comes soon for you.

Mine took 6 days after I lodged the forms in late May, so it really shouldn't have taken that long for you.
Maybe because of the end of financial year they are especially busy? No idea. I hope it comes through soon!

if you posted it in, it should be max three weeks from day received by medicare/FAO. then two days to hit your bank. ilodged at m'care june 3 and first payment received june 22

I would recommend calling your Federal MP's office. They often deal in different channels to the front counter staff, so can be helpful in bringing these issues to the attention of the relevant people.

well well....after some great advice from BG ()...i rang FAO again, lied & said we're really strugglin financially, its been 6 wks today since lodgement date, can they please please please call processing ctr. So lady did, and i got put onto the lady that dealt with my enquiry on Monday.
She said they've lost the forms.....at a processing centre across the state......so i would have to do it all over again....**** !!!!! Anyway, i was about to head into a Medicare office (major feat for me - 3 children 3 and under...yer right) and they would do my forms at an office. We got talking and she mentioned something about H's medicare card. I explained he had one..she seemed surprised......then she looked up our details and saw Tamworth office had processed my forms ...so they are the ones that have lost it. I musta sounded over it, coz she rang me back and said she would do my forms and have $ in my account by end of week....
So there you go - persistence...ive been told 7 times (the 7 times ive rang FAO) that my forms are being processed...when infact they werent being processed...they were LOST !!!

Im glad the last lady was so helpful....coz the others up until this point have been shocking......

It won't really make a difference, they don't have any other way to access the office to anyone else. It takes a little while for the ministerial to filter through, then its passed onto a member of staff to deal with anyway. Who generally calls the MP and explains exactly the same thing that is told to the customer. It will however put the wind up the office to get it done - but I doubt it would have changed anything for you


Mbear, its total crap that it a) went so far over time b), that no one called you earlier and c) it was not at least written on your record that there WAS a problem so that when you did call you could have been given the correct info.
Maybe next time you can ask the phone chick to call whoever is processing the forms and ask what the problem is - they usually won't do it but if something is so far out of time you should insist.
