OMG- Bread rolls and THICK butter

I have been craving crusty bread rolls, broken open and smeared with very thick butter...
I swear, I cant stop thinking bout them, when we go out for dinner, i have like 3 rolls beforehand, and use like 7-8 little sachets of butter. I bought a packet of rolls and a tub of butter last night. because i just had to have one, and dp flipped out when he seen the ammount of butter i had on it....he was like...''youll give yourself a heart attack''...

Im really worried about this semi-dangerous craving of mine...ive tried lowering the thickness of butter, but then it just doesnt taste good, and i end up throwing it out, and craving the roll again30 mins later.

I couldnt sleep all morning, cause i wanted to get up and have one...but it was too cold...

I never usually have much butter during the day on lunch or in cooking, but can this silly craving of mine start to affect my blood pressure? or anything else!?

Yes it's probably not the best thing for you but it's notthe worst thing for you either. I would say indulge for the moment and maybe give yourself a day a week to take part in that indulgence guilt free !

Personally I wouldn't worry about it... pure butter is far better than, say, craving KFC and transfats etc often found in chips... or coke which are very common cravings.

You might be a lucky person and be able to metabolise dairy fats really well like my sister and I... we eat alot of cheese and butter but our cholesterol levels are always really low... around 2/3%. Whether it is dangerous or not depends on your own system to an extent. Maybe ask for a cholesterol test to be added to your next blood test if you are really worried.

...or as bad as ice cream. I craved that and ate way too much... but at least butter doesn't have high sugar levels as well as the fat.

Better than the white magnums I am craving, or the cakes... I personally believe giving in to a craving is better than eating all sorts of different foods to try and satiate yourself, then just having the thing you were craving in the first place. I find I I give into the craving it generally goes away...

A calcium deficiency could be at the bottom of this craving perhaps... maybe also include some cheese (not soft) yogurt and even oranges into your diet... all good for calcium.

OMG that is soooo yummy!! Even now I'm thinking omg I need to go to the bakery lol. I've craved chocolate (mainly white) since BFing - was the same with Oskar too.

As for the butter, I wouldn't personally be that worried HOWEVER, if you are then try one of the lower cholesterol butters which are available

i wanted to choc ice-cream. my naturopath said my body was prob lacking dairy.. i started drinking choc milkshake and i felt a lot better.. . at this time, a lot of what you take in, goes to bub, so you need to increase your dairy in take, if you havent already xoxo

lol, i know hey....i tried reduced fat and salt butters, and other dairy blends....and nothing matches up lol

the best butter is the ones that come in the actual block, but then there too hard to spread on a piece of bread, and end up ripping it...lol
