    Packing for Post Birth

I'm packing up today to head away to have bubs and while I know that everyone is different, how much do you "shrink back" after having baby? We'll be down for 2wks post birth and I'm wondering if I should be packing some smaller clothes also? Most of you know but I have to have a c/s - not sure if this makes a difference.

I tend to put on weight around my bum and thighs so it takes me ages to get back to pre-pg size (actually, I never did lose all my weight after Natty and I have a looooong way to go this time!). Its normal for the body to lay down fat stores during pg for breastfeeding.
Personally I'd take comfy clothes that are on the slightly bigger size (even if you do lose your weight quickly, its nice to feel unrestricted when you're dealing with bleeding, possibly sore nipples and little sleep).
But you're right, everyone is different. If you feel like baggy clothes would depress you if you could fit into your regular gear, then pack a couple of normal sized items JIC! All the best

I still wore my maternity pants for a month or so after my boys were born. It took me a while to lose all the weight and they were just so comfy. It's hard to predict what you will fit into, but I too would suggest going for comfort. Trackie pants, maternity jeans and loose, comfy tops while you're BF'ing.

I would go for easy fitting, comfy things - loose fitting waists or elastic waists might be more comfy for you post-caesarian. I have been told also that high waisted knickers are more comfortable over a c/s scar aswell.

It really does depend so I would take a few comfy things and then if you need smaller stuff maybe you could buy it? I know that's expensive but it depends how much room you have. Also will you be doing much other than being at home or will you be gong out? If was staying at home (which I would!!) then I would mostly wear PJ's, trackies etc. A nice 3/4 top shoulnd't cost more than $15 from K-mart if you need to get a smaller one.
