Question How to build up immune system??

We just keep getting sick in this house and not getting any better.

Currently DH has an upset tummy and flu symptoms + bronchitis, DS has bronchialiis and I have a chest infection...

In the last 8 weeks we have had : -
    - Swine Flu
    - Normal Flu
    - Croup
    - Bronchitis
    - Gastro

We're not even getting a break between being sick and getting better - it's just straight into the next illness

We eat incredibly well and healthily as due to a medical condition I can't metabolise fat so no junk food and tons of vegies and lean protein...

Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve our immune system so we can get over these things?

I normally get sick in winter but DH never does so kind of wondering whats going on....

    Probiotics!!

Or some echinacea (sp?) for a few weeks will do you some good too.

Naturopaths are usually good at figuring out wha tis best for you to boost your immune system.
Have you tried vitamin C powder with bioflavonoids- has to be the powder version as more stable and holds more of the goodness in it and also better with bioflavonoids. There is a brand called Melrose that make it in a sachet and you can usually get it at a health food shop. Doesn't taste real great- but mix it in OJ and makes it pallitable.

Also vitamin D is great also.

Dammit - large doses of Vit C should do it for ahwhile. In fact I would also get you both on Vit B for the stress factor of it all, cos that lowers your immune system too.

UUmm, I'd say so - not totally sure. Your body will piddle out anything it doesn't need.
