    Tough day with sick crawler

    oh joy!

Just wanted to vent about my day.

Nothing terrible happened but it was the cream on the crust of an extremely tiring week 1/2. At the beginning of it I came down with a virus, then Isaac, 11 months, got an ear infection was on antibiotics. These gave him tummy aches but two visits to the doctor confirmed that they were doing something. Yay! Went off food though, and now an inflamed throat has him not wanting to eat because swallowing is painful, yet he wants the food. On panadol intermittently to treat pain.

Hubby has now got my virus (bad cold, bag of tissues etc) and son seems to be reverting back to his usual grizzly clingy ear infection self. Didn't get to eat anything post breakfast til 2pm as soup was disgusting, then pizza delivery car broke down and had to go and buy other food. Started vacuuming son's cot as it was dusty but he just coughed and coughed as I couldn't leave him, and now of course he has the inflamed throat as well, probably due to the virus. Left vacuum cleaner and bits and pieces all over his room to be put away when hubby got home.

Entire lounge covered in toys but all he wants to do is hang off my leg and cry. Absolutely worn out from being stuck at home due to sickness - the only place he's been out is the doctors 3 times in the last two weeks.

Silly things tipped me over the edge - over filled the vaporiser and water went on the cupboard in his room. Hubby home late from work and has now gone out again. Cat came inside and I locked her in the garage as I can't face her jumping on the piano and knocking over the photo frames again Feel like I'm gonna snap at any moment. Really need a break but am still getting over the virus myself - ie I feel trapped.

Could tell it had gone too far when son is sitting at my feet screaming in pain?/clingy and I am just completely ignoring him and wishing he would just go away. (I DO love him he is so precious! Just can't do any more of today.) He also only started crawling last week as well and is now all over the place and we are still adjusting to this - every minute we are putting more stuff away and trying to stop him grabbing stuff. Even if his room is full of toys he will see the one thing that is NOT a toy

Am going out tomorrow morning to my post natal depression group, but anxiety has me worried about fitting the breastfeeds around it.

    Thanks for listening

Jess, big hugs. Sounds like a truly vile day on top of a couple of gruelling weeks. I really feel for you.

I hope you can all get some sleep tonight and feel a bit better tomorrow.

Eventually you will come out the other end!

Oh Jess that sucks. Can you head to bed early with a good book and a thermos of hot chocolate? Snuggle in and get some rest? I hope you get well soon. xo

Thanks so much you have cheered me up so much already with all your hugs! And the book and hot chocolate sounds awesome - must do that - especially in a thermos! No cold drinks. I love the quote under your name amberj - my heart yells out in unison with you

    Love Jess

Oh I can really sympathise. Except for the bit about having the virus myself. Everything else is similar. Have had a sick DD for the last 2 weeks!! Super clingy. Very grisly. Ear infection. Thought she was just getting better and now she's very sick again. On top of that my DH was very sick last week.

Do you have anyone you can call for some help?

I was sick as a dog once around the time that my DD was your DS age, & it was an absolute nightmare. We were both sick, so yes all she wanted was to be held by me all day. Its so hard when you are all sick. It will pass so hang in there, just wanted to let you know I know the feeling exactly.

I hope things are going better for you today Jess!

(PS- I stole the quote from a t-shirt I saw somewhere, but I really liked it. I get so fed up with religion. But never with God )
