Hi ladies, does anyone else suffer from restless legs at night? its not every night just every couple of nights and its very very uncomfortable, how can i deal with these?
I got restless legs really badly from about 26 weeks on....the only thing that worked for me was getting up and stretching out my calves and hamstrings. Or walking out onto the hard floor and stomping my feet - I think it sort of helped the blood supply. Sounded great me stomping around in the middle of the night LOL!
Very annoying isn't it...mine used to be the worst as I was just trying to get to sleep. GRRRRR glad that is gone!
i think im getting this
every night about the same time, i wake up with mild cramps which turn into bad cramps all down my legs and i cant keep them still they just hurt so much
going to ask my dr what i can do for them on thursday
I suffer from this badly, its an every night thing for me, but its more intense when Ive been busy during the day...it seems the more exercise and walking I do the worse it gets.
Getting up and walking around does help.....you can also take some magnesium tablets, as it does reduce the discomfort quite considerably, as well as not overdoing it during the day.
Maybe also, if you are walking and exercising a lot during the day, just cut back on it a bit and see if that works, you may need to do a bit of chopping and changing to find the right balance.
Calicum & Magnesium help a lot with restless legs, among other things. I have been taking them for ages now and I haven't had restless legs, SPD and only one episode of carpal tunnel this pregnancy but that was before starting the C&M tablets.
