Happy Birthday William!!! I hope you've had a great day.

Ange, I knew Dh would take the job - you don't go all that way just for an interview and a look It will be such a great experience for the girls too. Now I have to think of a way to get down to Melb before you go LOL.

Not much happening here today. Supposed to be cleaning and packing before we head off tomorrow but you can see how well that's going

    Happy Birthday William!!!

Trill - have a great trip, so sorry it didn't work out that we could come up this weekend too. Oh well, hopefully next time you're in town.

So who is using a toddler bed and who has a big bed? I am tossing up whether to get a toddler bed from Target (like Kate got for Sarah)or get a proper one. I can see good and bad things about each.

Ange - so exciting!!! And great news on the satellite internet, that will be a bonus. I loved the photos of the markets on FB, that is going to be great and your girls are going to have an absolute ball growing up there!

MD - I read that the colour of snot has no indication of infections or otherwise, so try not to beat yourself up.

DH had to be at work early today so K and I were also ready early. We decided to go for a little walk around the block before heading into town. She wanted to lay down in the pram with her blanket on top. I reckon if I'd done two laps she would have fallen asleep - the tantrum when I made her get in the car was huge!! We have had a lot of 6am wake ups lately and last night she woke three times so the poor thing must be exhausted.

I seem to be becoming number one parent - it's only taken two years. Not sure it's all its cracked up to be, awfully hard getting anything done when I can't hand her across to DH!!

LOL Cally, I guess we should be careful what we wish for We were going to get bunk beds for the boys when Alister is ready for a bed, Not sure when that will be - maybe Christmas time, maybe not till the new year. Since moving him back into our room in the cot his sleeping has improved 100% and he doesn't fight sleep at night now so I don't want to risk it LOL.

MD I missed your post about the last chemo treatment. That deserves a celebration, or at least a day of pampering. Don't worry about E sometimes you just have no clue that it could be something like that.

i hear ya babe. we are meant to be flying to italy next friday (DH *decided* that would be a great time ) and i have no idea where to start re: packing, dogs, cats etc. arrghhhhhh. we also need to organise inspection times for the house while we are away as when we get back we will only have a week to get it all sorted and move...gosh i am weak at the knees just thinking about all the work.

OMG Clare get hopping, woman! The rule of thumb when moving - anything you think will take one week actually takes three weeks! (mind you that's for an interstate move, prolly less for a couple of suburbs LOL). How long are you going to spend in Italy? I"m sure it will be gorgeous, but your attention will be split by everything that needs doing at home, so the more you get done now the more you will enjoy the trip.

Cally those early starts sound exhausting. Missy E was calling out the other night for Mummy (a rarity) but when I went it she switched to Daddy LOL. We are V tempted to go with the ducky little Ikea bed (starts little, extends to a single bed size later on) but my number one priority is ducted evap aircon (if poss) before summer/surgery so she might get the sad old handmedown that DD1 slept in for 5 years (still in the shed, bit bendy in the middle but will do if needed) LOL.

Happy Birthday William!!! Hope you've had a spectacular day little man

cally - hannah sleeps in a king single ensemble bed -(we just have a rail on the side) It's good, because i usually end up in there with her at some stage through the night, and there is plenty of room. She still sleeps in her cot for her day time sleep though.

md - good idea getting the ducted aircon - we got it a couple of years ago, and it's fantastic. (although we hardly used it at all this winter )

clare - zowie Cavey!!!!! You better get cracking lovey!!! How totally exciting though. I've never been to Italy - and it's a place i'd love to travel to one day.

Trill - are you getting excited? I always get stressed when packing to go away - i always worry that i'm not going to pack everything we need.

Leanne - how much extra baggage did you have to bring home from your trip to Walmart?? I remember you saying how much you LOVE shopping there.

Have been on an excursion with Zoe today - and i'm exhausted. I must have been extra fit and patient when i was teaching. One of the boys in her class has a 'crush' on her. He kissed her hand in class in front of everyone and told the class he has a crush, and he loves her. Today on the bus, they sat next to each other - and he held her hand. Very cute, but at the same time '-"hey! that's one of my babies!!!"

my rather craptacular news of the evening is that my Oma just overdosed on sleeping pills. she collapsed and has been rushed to the hospital. i guess they are just working to stabilise her at the moment. but my poor opa wasnt strong enough to pick her up and afterwards told us that he cant do it anymore and feels he needs to give up trying to care for her. it must be hard for him to face this, especially alone as we all live so far away.

    gosh this sucks.

MD - Awww dont feel guilty, its easy to see how you missed it with your thoughts on your last chemo treatment.

Oh Clare I'm so sorry. I hope they werw able to stabilise her overnight. Your poor Opa though, I can't imagine the heartbreak at that realisation.

PP, can you please text me which park to go to and I will meet you there at 3.30 - I am guessing the weather is OK down there for a park? If not, just let me know either way.

See you all in a few days!!!

    Happy Birthday to Miss Elisabeth!!

Clare, How is your Oma today? Hope she is o.k. I really feel for your Opa.

Jazah, the little crush is cute, but so young! I am going to be the most prudish mum of a teen girl ever lol

Cally, are there molars happening at your place? It must be hard to have such disrupted sleep when you are both working.

    Trill, have a good trip!

Everything here is going well. W had a good birthday yesterday. I made the orange 4wd cake but it didn't turn out very well. I seem to have Amelia sleeping better in her cot - she likes to be swaddled. Dumb-dumb me didn't even think of it since W hated it but I need to realise she is a completely different person. And she is so adorable, she will sit for ages making cute faces at me.

Can't believe my baby is two. I was nearly in tears all day.
