Can you give her some panadol Jols? You don't have to wait, it can be taken with Nurofen, and it might do a better job. How high is her temp? How is she, does she seem to have any pain? It could have developed into a chest infection, but the question is, will you be able to see a Dr now?????

Honestly if you are uneasy i think see the Dr. I would rather be relieved then stressed and wouldn't think twice.

Both my kids were like this with the recent bugs they've had. DS has another temp today so looks like we're on round 2 yay. It is scary, but just try and keep the temp down with the nurofen/panadol combination if you can. Also don't be afraid to get the tepid flannel out. When DS got his tonsil infection I sat with him most of the night cooling his head down purely because we didn't have the combo on hand and it was 2 am when the fever started. I was tired the next day but it kept his temp around 38 till it broke in the morning. And he was fine, he slept through the night.

ETA: But also if you are worried DEF go see a Dr. If DS's temp didn't stay down I would have went for sure.

The girls have given you some great advice. I would take her to the dr if she worsens, can't control her temp or if she is lethargic or is you are worried. You know your DD better than anyone. I would def do the panadol/nurofen combo.

Hope she comes good soon hun. Its so hard to know, but its usually best to go & be told things are fine then not go coz things can get worse quick.

Both times my little ones have been in hossy for dehydration it was more coz mum pushed me. Me wanting to wait & see. DD2 saw gp Monday, possible tonsillitis, chance of glandular fever. Told to take her back Wednesday. Tuesday night she was really bad, so took her to hossy. 4 or 5 days in with both glandular fever AND tonsillitis

Can she sleep in bed with you? Might make the night a bit easier.
I had a pop top on the bedside table so I could just hand it to her & it was a bit easier having an ensuite for the face washer on hand.
Our biggest issue, other than fluids, was panadol/nurofen/antibiotics. Her throat was too sore for her to swallow, so she refused everything.
Hopefully your little one starts to improve before it gets that bad. (Abs were sposed to start things clearing, but did nothing for the glandular fever, so the little bit I got in was pointless).
I dare say it'll be a bad night, but you'll get through it

its scary isn't it? I wouldn't hesitate to get her to ED if her temp stays high.

    awww thanks everyone
BJ were no good with co sleeping here, she wont have a bar of it, i can hear her breathing through the monitor (shes quiet loud) she's stirred a few times, im sort of hoping she wakes during the night so i can take her temp and give her some more ab's
christy i have had those thoughts,if its still right up when/if she wakes i'll definatly consider it.

its been a looooooong week i tell you we've been to the dr's 3 times in 4 days, 2 lots of ab's for the girls, luckly millie is happier, just very chesty still
