Can she sleep in bed with you? Might make the night a bit easier.
I had a pop top on the bedside table so I could just hand it to her & it was a bit easier having an ensuite for the face washer on hand.
Our biggest issue, other than fluids, was panadol/nurofen/antibiotics. Her throat was too sore for her to swallow, so she refused everything.
Hopefully your little one starts to improve before it gets that bad. (Abs were sposed to start things clearing, but did nothing for the glandular fever, so the little bit I got in was pointless).
I dare say it'll be a bad night, but you'll get through it

its scary isn't it? I wouldn't hesitate to get her to ED if her temp stays high.

    awww thanks everyone
BJ were no good with co sleeping here, she wont have a bar of it, i can hear her breathing through the monitor (shes quiet loud) she's stirred a few times, im sort of hoping she wakes during the night so i can take her temp and give her some more ab's
christy i have had those thoughts,if its still right up when/if she wakes i'll definatly consider it.

its been a looooooong week i tell you we've been to the dr's 3 times in 4 days, 2 lots of ab's for the girls, luckly millie is happier, just very chesty still

Oh Jols, it's so awful when they're so sick . Will she have those hydralyte/gastrolyte icy poles, or drink the stuff? I can drop some into you today if you don't have any. Seriously, please say yes if you want me to, I will be going to Chirny and going past your place anyway. Don't worry, I won't be coming in!!!! And I have some sachets of hydralyte here if you want me to drop a couple in, just to give it a go. It's amazing how much better you feel once you're a bit better hydrated.

As for the EBM, have you got any milo or something that you can mix in to help her drink it? It will really help with hydrating her. Totally get that she'd turn her nose up at it plain though .

AJP - i hope your girls are getting better.. it's horrible not knowing.
my DD is also sick, started as a viral infection over a week ago with a rash, random high temps, sleepy etc etc, took her to the docs on friday after 3 days of being sick told it's a viral infection should last 3-5 days, took her back again Wed as she was now getting a cough on top of it.
She now has a COLD and a viral infection and at times wont drink properly, someone mentioned to me that you can get HYDRALITE ICY POLES which help with dehydration, am not 100% sure on the age they can be used from but these may come in handy if you need to get some extra fluids in?
I think this is pretty much a last resort but doesn't hurt to know there is something there!

Other than that i can only suggest the same as the girls, i am trying the panadol/nurofen combination, letting her sleep and lots of cuddles oh and the wiggles and hi-5 work a treat..

Sorry prob haven't been much help, hope they are on the mend and big , keep up the great work!
