Ethan is my 3rd bub and I`ve never experienced this:
At 10 weeks I started spotting, only light which only lasted a couple of days, then last week at just over 12 weeks, I started spotting again, a bit heavier then I was a few weeks ago but still only minimal where I don`t often need a pad but it`s still continuing 6 days later, is this a sign that AF is about to raise her head, I have at times over the last few weeks felt like AF was about to come.
It`s not unusual for me to get AF so early after birth (1st bub AF arrived at 8 weeks, 2nd bub AF arrived at 16 weeks, all babies have been exclusively demand Breastfed) but I`ve always gone on to have normal AF bleeding not just spotting.
Hi Deejoy,
I haven't been able to breastfeed more than the first week. But I assume that it could be the same at 10 weeks. Breastfeeding makes the uterus contract and tighten up back into its shape before the pregnancy. I know that the more pregnancys you have the more painful the afterbirth pains are. I got most of my pain during or after bfing with this baby.
I think it could be your uterus getting back into shape.
deejoy i'm having weird spotting too - and was actually contemplating posting. pp bleed stopped at four weeks, started again for a few days at 6 then again at 8 weeks. nothing until 3 weeks ago, got a small amount for one day (not even enough to warrant a liner, but i noticed it) and some ouchies with it. happened again a week later, then again today (so 17 weeks). it's really weird. i'm getting a fair amount of discomfort now like AF could be coming - but it's only on one side. will be interesting to hear what people have experienced and what they think it could be
