Angry Do you have this problem with Net banking?

I'm not sure if it's just my bank but I'm starting to get irritated.

I didn't use netbank with this particular bank because they wanted me to switch to IE to use it.
2 years later I thought I'd try again, and it works fine with Mozilla. It's been working really well, no probs until this morning and I'm trying to get payments out but I can't login - the tech support lady says it's because I'm using the updated version of Firefox and the bank doesn't support it. She is sending me some email about removing cookies etc for the older version of Firefox (fat lot of good that will do)

So why have I been able to use it all week (updated ages ago), but not now?

Do you have the same sort of problem - bank and browser not compatible?

Grrrr, the whole thing has been annoying me for years, I think I'm just going to change banks...

I always have issues with my bank's site on both Firefox and IE. I'm so over it that I don't even bother using it anymore unless I really have to.

I wonder if it's the same bank?

Nope no problems here! If a bank told me to change to IE I'd have a bit of an issue due to having a mac so I'd tell them to shove it and go elsewhere

My banks site is glitchy and hit-and-miss with all browsers at the best of times

Usually sites only working with, or only wokring properly with, IE is because of the way the webpage has been coded (laziness if you ask me! )
Unless they have had an upgrade since it worked for you, and it not working, the tech support lady is wrong (but is probably being told she isnt) becuase if nothings changed, it never would have worked to begin with.
Unless you upgraded your firefox in the past week like I did, and still only if it has never worked with the new version. If it worked once, it should always work, and if it doesn the bank has changed something.

Grrr. Well Member Equity is more a net based bank so I suppose that's why they have NO glitches at all....
Not only that ANZ is really hard to read, things don't add up and it doesn't indicate what funds are available until you find some other obscure page to tell you. Pfft to them.

Thanks Ray - I couldn't get a straight answer out of her. It seems the call I made to the bank last night about a CC transaction started the whole thing off...

Same, tech support is full of BS.

you could try clearing your cache, never hurts and is easy to do.

    Just go to Edit
    preferences
    Privacy
Private Data should be last on the list and say something like always ask me before clearing my data. and click on the clear now tab.
If you do this you will lose any saved passwords on your pc.
    Just so you know

I use ANZ and Commonwealth NetBank almost every day. I have never had a problem with either of them. Some days I use the latest version of Firefox, some days I use IE.

I can't work out why she sent me instruction for an old version of Firefox anyway. This call was escalated to a higher power. How come she doesn't think ANZ supports the latest version when clearly they do??
She also told me they like to "do intensive testing" before they will support it.

    Bunch of DER's

I have the same problem with citibank..their online services only support I.E. There is an add on you can get for firefox called I.E. TAB which will emulate i.e. in firefox.....solves all issues for me......you just use when you need to and can have both fifefox and i.e. tabs running in the same envrionment.....

ANZ internet banking support is not that great. Many years ago I called up due to the lack of length for the payee field for a bank cheque. Now I knew the guy on the phone could do nothing to help me, but I wanted to give some feedback in the hope they would improve it for the future. All he had to say to me was he would pass it on to his supervisor or mention it at the next team meeting, but he carried on about how he could not help. I have done call centre work as an accounts person for an IT company, so know a little something about giving constructive feedback over the phone and how it should be handled. In the end I had to speak to his supervisor and complain. She knew straight away how to talk to me and what I was trying to tell them

If find ANZ so much better to deal with in person than on the phone.
