Spirits on Halloween?? (no not the alcoholic type)
Last night I had quite a scary dream. I dont normally post about stuff like this but thought it was odd that I would have this dream on the same night that was Halloween.
This dream was of a spirit who was quite aggressive towards me, but was being aggressive to get my attention. She was frustrated. She needed something and I clearly remember it wanting to form a connection with me because of DD's name. It was a girl. Probably about 12yrs old.
I am just wondering, does anyone know why we dream of spirits? Does it mean anything? Do spirits communicate through dreams? This seemed so real to me.
I have always thought it to be complete rubbish that spirits come out on Halloween but now am wondering if there is some truth to it.
there are two nights of the year where the veil between the spirit realm and our realm are at the thinnest - last night and 6 months from now - traditionally beltane and samhain.
There is truth to the fact that they come out at this time of the year. I know I was out last night with BK and both of us were picking up on the spirits around us. I had been in a ritual earlier on in the day so I was expecting it.
The spirit just probably wanted your help but wasn't "mature" enough to know how to best get what she wanted across to you.
Thanks Punks, I have been thinking about it all day. My dogs were acting really strange last night as well. I do feel safer with the dogs around though.
Yes to what AngelPunks said... It is the time of the year that the veils are sheer - we are more likely to see and to hear if we know how to listen!
It sounds like the entity was confused and afraid. Send her to the light if she comes again...
ok i'm back and I can reply more (sorry a toy turned up ... got distracted )
If she turns up again in your dreams, acknowledge her, let her know that it is ok for her to go onto the next stage and as Inanna says "send her to the light". She was probably attracted to you because you're a mother and she felt a connection because of your DD's name - she just probably wanted somebody to acknowledge her and to show her a bit of love and compassion.
