    chicken parmigiana help

    Evening,
I hope its not to late to post this, as I type I have chicken parmigiana in the oven.
I went to the butchers today and brought two ready made. It looks like bread crumbs on the outside of the chicken with a ham and cheese filling.

Silly me should have asked for cooking directions.

I've placed them in the oven in an oven dish on 180C with some cooking oil sprayed on the top and they are slowly browning.

Do you think this is okay and do you think they'll be ready when they have browned?

    Thanks,

I reckon they'd need about 35 mins or so in the oven.

If you aren't sure you can always cut one of them open and see if the chicken is cooked...that's what I usually do, especially with chicken, as I'm paranoid about it not being cooked properly! 35 - 40 mins should be fine though. If you can turn them over about halfway through that will help to make sure they are cooked right through.

Should have thought of turning it over. Martha Stewart I am not tonight.
Just finished dinner and it wasn't as successful as I had hoped. It was in for 50mins and very browned (Tinkerbell, it didn't seem ready at 35mins) but I wasn't too sure about the chicken (like you SS_Storm I'm paranoid about chicken). The doggie got an awesome treat for dinner.

Well, I thought it was a good idea at the time. Lesson to self, making it from scratch it way yummier.

Love BB for so many reasons: Asking for cooking advice and receiving your help is very awesome! Thank you!

It sounds easier to make it rather then buy it like that, you could try this next time. You do need a grill that I don't have at the moment

Shallow fry chicken snitzel, once cooked put the snitzel on a tray and spoon some bolgnaise sauce from a jar (or salsa or anything you fancy) put on some sliced ham (or ham steaks) and greated cheese and grill.

and in theory waaala you are done
