MLM its ok to be shocked at my age. Honestly when I say 4 kids I am too I just remember that I havent been handed more than I can handle and I have great friends that are willing to be there for me when Im pulling out my hair and my eyes are hanging out of my head

Winter and Lollybaby thanks for the offers guys! I use cloth wipes to reduce costs so Im set there and I kinda went overboard with cot sheets when towel man had 2 fitted sheets for $5.95. I have so many blankets, clothes etc its insane

In nappy news Im finding myself logging onto Mazs store 3 times a day to make sure the NB fluff doesnt go live Slightly obsessed

Kitt3n it is a bit of an annoying time but luckily for us we get the day off Really have to pace oneself so you're not too inebriated before the big race back in the days when I used to go

Lea DFM are a great nappy and so worth it. If I hear of any coming up I'll let you know

We have a few beetlebums now thanks to Gigi cos I nabbed her stash of them but this is only the second time in 3+ years of using cloth I've been able to hyena some new. I so suck at being a hyena usually lol.

    Hi lovely ladies

I've just subscribed too as I need to learn, learn, learn over the next 6 months!!!

I am still so clueless, but after some lovely PM's from BG, Maz, Arimeh & Jodie I'm slowly learning

When DS was born I used cloth, but also remembering that was almost 12yrs ago now, so things have slightly changed

At this point for newborn stage, I'm going to go with the prefolds & flats until I know size & shape of bub... am stocking up on MAL covers, & also wanting some pretty nappies - ones for going out & to try other than the prefolds/flats... any ideas or advice is welcome.... I'm still fairly clueless at this point

Hoping that subscribing to this thread will teach me from reading as well
(I'm having a little trouble with the abbreviations on some nappies... forgive me if this is obvious, but is there a thread or sticky somewhere telling me what they are? )

    Welcome to the thread Holly!!!!

If I was to go back and do it all again, for the first few months I would go with the Booroi stuff - their prefolds fit perfectly into the side snapper covers and they have a double leg gusset - so no leaky NB poos And, of course, a few Maz NB/small covers for going out!

After that I would suggest side snappers. I think pretty much every one who has used ss (side snappers) would agree that they create the best fit. My faves are sugar shots, dragonfly magik, beetlebums and genessa forge. GF's are fairly easy to get but with time up your sleeve you might just be able to nab a few "hyena" items.

lol I dont think there is an abbreviation list - maybe we should start one?

Hi all, long time no post.

Well DD holds on until the last minutes & pee's all at once & the nappies cant soak it up fast enough & we flood nappies 9/10 times. Where is the best place to sell them now that nappychic has been disabled?

Holly - if you get lost, just ask in here hun - i find sometimes i really need to think it through with some of the nappies, esp the ones i don't use!

for flashy going out nappies - i love my widdlewuns! E has been in them since she was about 4 weeks - is five months now and still fitting them nicely. very cute embroidery on the butt! i have lots of pink/purple ones though so i didn't get them til i was over half way and knew she was pink (did still panic when she arrived in case i had lots of pink and a blue bundle lol)

There used to be an abbreviations list I'm sure. Perhaps it went with Shannon...

Sal use buy4baby or if you can hold off a bit I think NC will be back with a different format so a little birdy told me

Holly what you've said is a good starting point!

Maz lol have fun playing with Bertha!

Gee I've been in here 3 times this morning! Gotta love public holidays and big brothers entertaining the wee fella

    MAL is maz-a-licious
Maz usually advertises her stockings on here (in the marketplace members bit) or on her facebook page. you have to be quick to get her stuff - she is very popular!

DFM is dragonfly magic/magik - can't remember the spelling

Wow Bimboo I shouldnt complain then Im just 29 weeks and measuring around 37 weeks but can still wear pre pregnancy clothes still (just!)
DFM or DM are dragonfly magik. Apparently theyre very hard to get and I think the website is temporarily closed.
Heat is ok Im not doing much to be honest just to heighten my chances of getting past 30 weeks. Im very lucky that DS is pretty independant and doesnt need me to run around with him and will come to me if he needs/wants something. Works well at this point.

Nappy news DS wore his DFM for all of half an hour before he covered it in yoghurt
Oh well well try again another day
