    Angry I give up VENT!

I have tried so hard to shift these last ten kg's - and nothing is working.

I consider myself to be a healthy eater, I can't remember the last time I had chips, chocolate or alcohol.

I do Pump twice a week and change the cardio between Body Attack, Body Jam, RPM (spin) and also do Balance once a week too. Not to mention all the house work and running after babies I do daily which I don't include on my activity list.

Yet the scales show I'm increasing in weight - WTF.

I've burst into tears this morning with a pathetic attitude of 'I GIVE UP'. I've tried so hard. It doesnt help that my scales vary anywhere from 400 grams - 2 kg's out of whack, depending where I weigh myself.

Sorry for the 'all about me' vent everyone. If I saw an improvement of a loss I would be happy - but I'm only seeing gains.

Maybe now that you've lost most of your body fat your gaining muscle? Muscle weighs more than fat. Have you been measuring? Maybe compare measurements instead of kgs

    It's horrible when this happens.
Can you maybe try working with a dietician to work out the best way to lose it. Other than that I'm not much help.
Sending you lots of positive and vibes though. xx

    :yeahthat:

I was going to say the same thing. You'd be super fit by the sounds of things.
Most experts say to ditch the scales and go by your clothes.
All the best, sounds like you're doing an awesome job

WOW! Busy! What about if you threw something totally different in there? Maybe your body is used to that routine, even if you do mix it up! Try going to dancing lessons - jazz, line, belly, rock n roll etc. I'd love to try rock n roll! maybe drop one thing out and put some dance classes in. Maybe aqua aerobics?

I'm struggling to lose these last three kg. I weigh in at the same time each week, wearing the same clothes. I'm doing weight watchers, so I know their scales are calibrated. Is there someway to calibrate your scales, or find someone/where that has them that you can use each week?

Well done with your weight loss so far, and please don't give up! For the last 10wks, I've been on a see-saw! weight went up and down and back up again. Maybe not by much, but I know how you feel. When you work so hard and go backwards, it gets to you. Hang in there, try something a lil different! I tried something different last week (bike ride on sat and sun!) and lost 900g!!!

Hang in there! There's always some support!

I agree make sure you take measurements, as this is where you will really see the difference.

Also make sure you are eating enough! Sounds silly I know but you need to make sure you are. If you dont your body will hold onto kgs as it wont know when it is being fed next IFKWIM. As a female the absolute minimum (dending on height, weight and activity) is 1200kj (and this is after the kj's you burn though exercise, you should not go under this).

Strongly recommend the Australian Calorie King site, even if you dont use the online diary to record food and exercise it is still great for the articles and the forum is very very helpful as well.

I found the online food diary to be very handy (it can be a little time consuming) but it was amazing to see how much I was actually eating. I also invested in a heart rate monitor so I knew exactly how many kjs I was burning.

Hon you don't need this advice - you already know it! And you've just started back haven't you?? So you know you're going to gain muscle mass through Pump hon. Trust you, trust your body...you know what it can, and will do. Just be patient and you know it'll happen x
